We always go back to the Embassy while visiting Wawa. Good, friendly service. Meals are good but nothing fancy. The best part is their homemade bread.
Small town average breakfast. We had eggs Benedict. Just average...however, the service was great and the local people very friendly.
After traveling for 8 hours we stopped at the Northern Lights and rented the cottage. That was great. The owner Maureen recommended the embassy. It ws great food boig portion and very reasonable prices.
Eating a meal at the Embassy Restaurant & Tavern is like taking a step back in time. It feels like the 1950's or the 1960's with much of the decor. Heck, it seems that downtown Wawa is still stuck in the past, so it fits...More
Found out the hard way that everything shuts down early in Northern Ontario. Stumbled on the Embassy at about 8pm and reluctantly went in as we couldn't find anything else that looked open. Serious 1950's decor, aged appearance to prove it. Staff was really pleasant...More

We stopped in Wawa on our way to Thunder Bay. It is a good place to stop for breakfast, traditional bacon and eggs, good coffee and quick service.
Breakfast service is excellent with bottomless coffee. I have eaten there for breakfast at least seven times and it's good quality food at a very fair price. Homemade bread is a definite difference
