Prior to COVID, the Laurentians had two greats that are no more: La Chaumière du Village in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, and Clémentine in Val-David. A few still stand, and La table des gourmets is one of them. You’ll find the owners Pascale and Thierry at the Val-David...farmers market every Saturday morning during the summer. They’re going around and buying the best produce and meats for the weekly menu. While their son Maxime is working on a dessert that will blow you away. We were a group of four and all opted for the Menu Gourmet: a five-service delight that I will never forget. If you’re in the Laurentians, you must add this gem to your list of restaurants. We will be back. Often.More

Superb meal. A creative delicious menu without unnecessary fussiness. I ordered the lamb and my wife had the char. We started with the scallops. Lovely atmosphere.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful, innovative dinner on the terrace at this restaurant. All three courses--the appetizers, mains, and desserts--were delicious and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend for a memorable evening out.

Visited this little gem for Sunday brunch on a perfect summer day in June. The food is superb. My boyfriend and I drove for about thirty minutes from the resort we were staying at in Estérel and we were not disappointed! I ordered a “crepe...sarrasin” or buckwheat crepe and it was the best I’ve ever had. Cannot wait to come back. Thank you Pascale for the great service!More

We typically go to this restaurant once a year during our winter ski holiday and I have to say we we look forward to it all week. We are always blown away by the flavor combinations that the chef delivers as well as the artistic...interpretation of each course.More

if you want an authentic French Canadian meal and the opportunity to practice your Francaise, this is a place you'll not soon forget. La Table is run by a mother (wait staff) father & son (cooks). there is only one sitting each night and you...need to be patient with the service because it's worth the wait. the hors d'oeuvres are wonderful. we had duck livers, scallops and pate and we needed more of the delicious bread to soak up the sauces. the entrees are a bit daunting (pigeon is the house speciality) but each one we sampled was superb. the risotto with truffles was really yummy, the lamb melted in your mouth and the monkfish was very tasty. the desserts were exceptional. your hostess and waitress is very charming and spent lots of time with us explaining the menu (I think she was enjoying practicing her English as much as we did stumbling through our French). a reservation is wise as it is a small restaurant with only about 10 tables. we'll be back - even though it's 7 hours away!More

We had an amazing dinner here last night. My husband and I chose the tasting option on the menu. Every morsel was delicious! It is a family run business, they are from France and having just visited Paris in May, we felt like we were...back there. It was lovely and romantic, we will definitely be returning! 💝🙏🏻🍷More

For a few years now, we have looked at the street posted menu of this restaurant , while on our annual Laurentian " FOODIE " Vacation but passed. This year we opted to try it out and WOW..was it a find. Operated by a family...from France it offers that look and feel of European excellence. My wife ordered two appetizers for her meal.. A lobster piece( Torche ) that was stuffed with spiced goat cheese and surrounded by cucumbers drizzled with an Avocado oil dressing. She is a Foie Gras fanatic ... so her second course was a pan fried caramelized ( granulated coco ) sensation . My daughter took the Seared Foie Gras dish for an appetizer and then chose "Pintade" ( Guinea Fowl ) for her main course. It consisted of a Duo of white ( breast ) and ( thigh) dark meat in a glorious sauce , complete with fresh local veggies. I had not eaten sweetbreads ( Ris de veau ) and Pigeon for years....... not readily available in Ontario, Canada; so I hopped on the opportunity when I saw them on the menu. The manager graciously agreed to make an appetizer sized Ris de Veau for me at a little over half price and I was appreciative. The " Pigeon " was served with a blend of Cassis ( Blackberry Liquor) Oat Meal and Fennel......Absolutely delicious. We shared a decadent desert : a Paris Brest, consisting of a puff pastry, filled with hazelnut praline mousse , surrounded with a saffron ice cream with chocolate bits..TO DIE FOR! The service was quick, attentive, knowledgeable and obliging . Wine list was good and reasonably priced for Quebec restaurants. Coffee is always strong .. but I love it. This is a very good eating experience and should not be missed if you are in the Laurentians. GarnettMore

Went to La Table des Gourmets for a family celebration. I have been to hundreds of restaurants of various qualities around the world. The service here was awful. Once we sat, it took over 15 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted any beverages,...or had questions about the menu. Once we ordered, it took over 45 minutes to receive our appetizers of salads and gazpacho. In other words, over an hour from our arrival until we received any food. We had to ask several times for bread for the table. Our main courses (lamb, fish, risotto) were tiny portions, and not particularly flavourful. We left the restaurant with a very disappointed experience (and a large bill). Will certainly not return.More

After 20 years, my wife and I have tried many restaurants. Have to admit this one has to be 1 of the two best we ever had dinner at. We decided to go with the gastronomic menu and left the chef decide what we were...going to have. We didn't regret our choice. Very good service, their choice of wine matching each of the meal couldn't have been better. Thank you for this perfect evening.More

Simply amazing! We go there with my family whenever I am in the country and each visit is a wonderful surprise. The combination of the best local ingredients, the chef’s incredible imagination and the quality of the wines at a very affordable price, all in...a lovely ambiance sum up each time to an enjoyable evening.More

À French restaurant whose owners are attentive to detail. The lunch menu is a fixed price consisting of a choice of 4 starters, 4 main courses and 3 deserts. Produce is very fresh. My friend has the fried zucchini flower with a little tiny zucchini...attached to it. Delicious. I had the Gravlax trout on a bed of fennel for a starter and the Mahi Mahi as a main course. Perfect. The plates are beautifully arranged. We were both happy with the reasonable portions especially for lunch. One can order wine by the glass. The restaurant is cosy and impeccably clean. There is a terrace for the days when it’s nice and warm enough to eat outside. Lunch for 2 with 2 glasses of wine and a coffee came up to around 80$.More
