Come early and hungry. Never leave without having tried the sugar maple ham, the ragoût de pattes de cochon et de boulettes, the tourtière, and just about everything else. This is without a doubt the best real traditional Québec breakfast house. You will be back...guaranteed. And you'll find me there.More

I would be willing to bet this is one of the best breakfast places in Quebec! We have now been coming here every week for over a month and have been blown away by both the food and the service (and the atmosphere) on every...single visit! The homemade, maple-smoked bacon and the ham are to die for, and my favorite has been the smoked salmon eggs Benedict... I don’t know where they get their lox from, but it’s just heavenly, smokey and flavorful. My boyfriend loves their ham and we now *must* buy a few slices from their store when we visit, we’ve also tried their tourtiere and loved it! 6 people max per table, and no groups, in these times - we did visit with my family and all had to sit at different tables - but the staff was very nice and tried to keep us within earshot of each other. They were also very accommodating to our toddler nephew and niece. We can’t recommend this place enough!More

I used to come here as a child with my parents, back then they used to serve dinner as well. It’s now only a brunch/lunch place, but omg what a nice walk down memory lane. The restaurant has a cozy/upscale sugar shack feel, and a...nice boutique area where you can purchase ham, maple sirup, meat pies, etc... Good size line up at the door but they have a great system - they take your cell number and call you when your table is ready, so you can wait in your car in bad weather - no need to stand outside in the rain! We opted to sit at the bar since they told us it would free up faster than the 40-min wait for a table. Yep, 10 minutes into our “drive-in” Law & Order episode, the hostess called :) The food was amazing. Breakfast potatoes are absolutely perfectly seasoned! And my French toast were delicious, yummy fruits on the side and maple cream. Service was so polite and cheerful, and they speak English too (menu in French tho). I already can’t wait to go back and try something else 💕More

The place to visit to experience local cuisine. Great for breakfast or brunch near Val Morin. Enjoyed in house maple-smoked ham, baked beans, pea soup, maple syrup pie. A local institution.

This is one of the best Restaurants in the Laurentian Mountains. They make their own ham and you can smell the wonderful sweetness for miles. Their food is great and they provide a lot. They have been in the same location for years. Inside, while...you are enjoying your meal, you have a panoramic view of the surrounding area. If, after your meal, you wish more food, there is a take=out counter. Please try this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.More

Excellent Quebecois food, from tortiere to maple pie. Fantastic ambiance and location, and front and back room staff bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. These guys are a winner!

Husband and I have been here twice. The food is so fresh and delicious. The service is lovely—charming and kind. A popular spot with a bit of a wait (maybe 30 mins for us) but well worth it. We got the eggs benedict, croque madame....Soo yummy!More

I took my mother here over the weekend for a birthday breakfast. I have never been here before, but my mother had been a few times. I do not know if they take reservations or not, but I had to wait 1h15min for a table....The place was packed. My mother told me that in the past she has had to wait between 30-45 minutes for a table. After speaking to the staff, it is busy like this all the time. They do have everything down to an art in terms of getting everyone seated and what not. They even offer free coffee and hot chocolate, which was nice on a cold day. The food itself was pretty good. I would not say it was amazing, but it certainly was not bad. A little pricey to be sure, but I guess that goes with the type of restaurant it is. The only thing my mother wished they had was the pea soup in a cup. They only have it in a bowl, which would have been too much for her to eat. The only way to get it in a cup is to get one of their meals which includes soup and dessert. Service was fast and efficient without feeling rushed. Would I go back? Sure, but I would find out if it is possible to make reservations in order to not have to wait over an hour. Driving up from Montreal, which is an hour away, I was already hungry when I arrived and having to wait over an hour to be seated, was not fun.More
