Great food, awesome view, hard to find!! Try the melt in your mouth roast beef pannini and the homemade ice-cream !! WOW Incredible!! Will surely go back again sometime!! Open seasonally only, well worth taking the time to find it!!

Great local ingredients, including seafood, red meats, poultry, fresh greens, homegrown vegetables, and heirloom tomatoes, are what you will feast upon. The Smokin Tuna Cafe chef gets high praise for his preparation of seafood and rack of lamb. For starters, try the crispy calamari and fried salmon rolls. Clams and sausage also sounded intriguing, but my husband and I could... More

This is one amazing restaurant hidden amongst a summer RV resort. When you drive in looking for the restaurant, you first need to go through a "shanty town" of RVs parked under roofs. Don't let the RVs dissuade you. Keep heading towards the water and eventually you will come to a parking area. Park, and then head to the dock... More

Nobody promises this is easy to find and you will feel like you are driving forever when you finally get there. Don't let the trailer park deter you, just drive down toward the boat launch and there it is. It's a tiny place with both indoor and outdoor seating. If you want liquor you have to stay inside (you can... More

We both had sandwiches at Smokin' Tuna... pretty pedestrian fare... one would think* However..... The grilled chicken & bacon Paninni left Much to be desired. Meaning, no garnish, simply presented on a plate. There was a huge piece of gristly chicken in the sandwich that was inedible. We brought this matter to the attention of the wait staff who said... The tuna appetizer is excellent. The clubhouse sandwich is made with real chicken. The flavours are sharp, nicely complementary. Not much to say- the tuna was outstanding. The view is amazing, with seals exploring the marina. Hard to find- watch the signs as you head to Aylard Farm beach area, and drive right through the trailer park toward the boat... More

Found this little gem while exploring the trails in East Sooke. Its tough to find as its tucked away in a trailer park right by the docks. We had the tuna along with clams steamed in a broth with sausage. It was a taste sensation! We finished the meal with a creme Brule... the best I've ever had.. with a... More

This is a great little café to have a bite after hiking in neighbouring East Sooke Park, provided you’re not terribly hungry. A long driveway through a trailer park eventually ends up at the café, situated on the ramp above the marina. Ordering is done at the counter. They sell a small selection of beer (no draft beer the day... More

After hiking, we saw a sign for the smokin tuna restaurant. We followed the road into a trailer Park neighborhood and almost turned around. To our surprise, we found the rustic harbor ambiance a great backdrop to our meal. We recommend the salmon spring rolls and salad greens.

This place is not open for lunch and dinner every day. Call first! We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a delicious prime roast beef panini with cheddar and pickled onion. Price was $9CAD. Delicious and great service! They also make great lattes/cappuccinos.
