We visited this restaurant after reading it was new in the area. Server was very friendly but unable to answer questions specific to dishes on the menu. She noted she would ask the Cook & returned noting the Chef was not on shift & they...could not answer my questions. We were also told that one a few of the menu item were not available. I opted for a simple wrap & customized it slightly by removing an item & was given the option of available sides. Upon arrival I found that only 1/2 of my wrap had chicken & there were no sauces. I also found that the wrap contained 1 chicken finger & it was absent from the 2nd half of my wrap. I discussed this with the Server & she had the Cook remake my wrap. When I received it back again it was mainly lettuce & I had to add sauce. When paying my bill, I noted I was charged an additional $2 for the side dish I ordered. No mention of this was given when the options were given. Overall this was one of the worst meals I've paid for in a long while & I had to go to Subway afterwards to get something to eat. If you choose to visit, ensure the Chef is on shift. I'm told the meals he creates are great. Unfortunately this wasn't our experience.More

The Hungarian influence is gone and the cook is East Indian. The butter chicken is very good. Some menu items were unavailable. Waitress was professional, but a newbie at this location.

Amazing food and outstanding service. The rooms are exceptionally clean and cozy with an amazing view. The price is affordable considering that breakfast is included. The Citadella hotel is a great stay for families, friends, locals, and explorers alike. 5/5!

The best restaurant on Radium Hot Springs definitely is Citadella, the owners were wonderful people and food was amazing!

Citadella was highly recommended by the owners of Magestic U-Brew from Invermere. Since we were in Fairmont for a week, we decided to give it a try but had to do it by the 14th since they would be closing for the winter. We are...so glad we tried. It's a small cozy restaurant with a "Million Dollar View" and great atmosphere. I had the Goulash soup (lots of vegetables and chunks of very tender beef) then the Chicken Stew, both were very tasty. My wife had the Chicken Marosa and it was very good as well. We shared crepes for dessert which was an excellent choice to end our excellent meals. Price is fair, considering everything we had seemed to be freshly prepared and the 15% off coupon was a bonus. Since it was October we were inside, but enjoyed the view from our table. You can tell the owners take great pride in their establishment. Very welcoming, polite and took the time to have a conversation with us and gave overall excellent service. Hope to come back next year when we visit the area in April.More

The owners are gracious. The came out and visited with us while our food was being prepared. The view is out of this world, breath taking. It sits on the highest hill in Radium Hot Springs. You have breathtaking views of the town and Valley....The food is authentic Hungarian prepared to perfection. The first night we had the Hungarian Mixed Plate for two. It had a little bit of everything. The rice was fluffy, not dry at all the potatoes were tender and cooked perfectly.Needless to say the food was perfection! Best meal I ever had or do I thought. It was so good we went back a second time. I had the Beef Stroganoff with potato Dumplings. Again I was not disappointed . My husband had the beef stew and pasta. He said it was excellent. The beef in my stroganoff was tender, the sauce was perfect a perfect compliment, the potato dumplings were plump, tender and fried lightly. The iced tea was sweet, not too sweet brewed wonderfully. These two meals were hands down the best I have ever eaten. My husband said the same thing. This is the only place to eat in my humble opinion.More

Love the atmosphere for dinning. Food is true Hungarian food. Excellent service. This was our second visit and will be coming back.

We ate here after a long drive from Spokane. It was amazing. The beef stroganoff was so good. We also shared the Greek salad. It was the best salad and very large. Apple strudel for dessert. Yummy! We enjoyed a hot breakfast the next morning....Don't miss this hidden gem.More

This was our first visit to Citadella and we we so happy we followed up on the recommendation to eat here. The view is fantastic and the Hungarian Stew, Beef Stroganoff and Cucumber salad were excellent. The owners were friendly and attentive. We will go...back next time we are in town!More

So we were coming home to Alberta from Oregon and booked one night at radium to break up the 14 hour drive. Trip Advisor lists this as number 2 restaurant in Radium and we were staying at the Chalet so decided to give it a...try. Not a great experience. Dining area was super warm with absolutely no air flow. The husband and wife team were overwhelmed with a birthday party of 10 and 3 other tables of 2 including the wife and I. Initial order was okay but then never returned for second drink order or more water. Food tasted good and no complaints there but portions were small for $27-30 dollar meals. Wife ordered dessert and it took 15 minutes to bring pudding with fruit as the husband and wife cleaned up after birthday party! Sorry to say we won't be coming here again. Honestly if you are looking for fantastic schnitzel, drive back to Invermeer and go to the Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel Haus.More
