The burgers are enormous and enormously Good! You could probably share a meal here. We got the kids a burger and a hot dog and even they could only eat half. My husband had the Fat Boy Burger and fried (with gravy of course) and couldn’t complete it.
A must try if you are a fan of a burger full of new favour!

This place could topple the fat boy contenders in Winnipeg. Double fat boy and fries, now know how an anaconda feels after catching something extremely large, just want to lay down and rest for a day

hi name is rob i go to Jimmy's restaurant almost every month for my fatboys they make the very best fatboys here in portage i would tell everyone that Jimmy's restaurant because i make the very best burgers

I do not reside in Portage but I always make a point to stop and grab a fat boy combo thee best in town and surrounding areas in my book! Sad to say the service my co-workers and youth received was unbelievably rude! I call a head of time as we where on the Winnipeg..I bragged about this place the food is outstandingly tasty..I could not believe how everyone was treated very disrespectfu and l was told to go to Macdonald's! Totally lost my service and others!

Awesome burger and fries combos. Other food varieties are excellent. Friendly family run business that has never disappointed over numerous visits.

I frequent this place rather often, have since I was a kid and have ALWAYS enjoyed it! The only people that have a poor opinion of Jimmy's are the uptight people that will cry and whine if they have one too many pickles on a burger!! Would definitely recommend Jimmy's to anyone passing through town! It's simply the best there is

Excellent service, excellent food. If you are not a big eater, share because you gets LOTS. Chilli dogs are my favorite.

Ate lunch here with my wife and son on a Thursday. Arrived around 11:30, just before the lunch crowd. Food arrived within 10 minutes. My wife had a cheeseburger, which she could not finish. My son had a ham sub and couldn't either. I decided to tackle the House Special, which is comprised of 2 - 1/4lb patties, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mayo and chili, on a massive sesame seed bun, which was barely big enough to contain it all. Burger was accompanied by a generous portion of crispy fries, a canned drink, and a plentiful but necessary number of napkins. Without question, this was the juiciest, most flavorful burger I have ever eaten, and I've eaten more than a few.
Do yourself a favour, go to Jimmy's and get the House Special, but prepare to be disappointed with all other burgers for the rest of your life.

great burgers...make sure to stretch your jaw muscles....and big! They also have salads, hot dogs, ice cream and friendly staff. It can be very busy at noon. Closed on Sundays but open late Friday and Saturday.

What a treat. Great burgers and fries. Come here hungry and leave stuffed. The fries are fantastic and the servings are huge. The owners are friendly and helpful. It's always busy at lunch and seating is limited, so plan to get there early or late.

We stopped in for lunch and had a bacon cheese burger and fries. The fries are home made and done to perfection. The burger again home made great flavor.and leaves you licking your fingers its so good. We will for sure be back to eat here again.

Stopped in while in Portage, there was 3 of us and we all ended up have the same thing, Bacon Burger with cheese. The restaurant itself was very well lit, clean, friendly server. The burger was fresh, hot, juicy and tasty, comes with all the fixins, onion, mustard, etc. also chili, on sesame seed bun. seating is limited and it was starting to get busy for lunch. Would eat here again and recommend.

Always stop at Jimmy's when going through Portage La Prairie. The burgers & fries are hard to beat & the servings are plentiful. Definitley worth a try & guaranteed you will come back.

My husband and I visited Jimmy's after seeing several Facebook posts stating the excitement of other individuals on their reopening.
We were not disappoint. The burgers are made to order, fresh and oh so good! Exactly what I expect from a burger ordered at a restaurant.
My husband's only "complaint" is that his double 1/4 pounder was almost too much food for him.
Can't wait to go again! My mouth is watering just writing this review.
