We actually found this on Find Me Gluten free as my daughter has celiac. My wife and I love French/Swiss Alpine cooking and the menu is almost all entirely naturally gluten-free so it was a no brainer (they are happy to substitute gf bread for...an extra $2 for the cheese fondues). Its in a mini mall NS doesn't look like much from the outside but open the doors and it's a huge Swiss Themed restaurant! I will say the cavernous layout is a little strange as there are a ton of smaller dining areas seperate from each other. There were quite a few people dining when we were there but it felt kind of deserted because of the layout. They serve variations on three things: cheese fondue, meat fondue and raclette (you grill your own meats and cheeses). So if you don't like to work for your food this is not the place for you! We got a table D'hôte, three course meal which was cheese fondue to start, meat fondue for main and cheeses fondue for desert. Honestly $39 per person was more than we'd normally spend but it was a good value and there was way too much food for us. I thought at this price point it was a little trivial to charge us an extra $2 per person for the gf bread but I'm just glad they offered the option! There was plenty of options for less $ and they even do all you can nights during the week "a volonté". There's a decent drink list and prices are reasonable. They have English language menus and our server was bilingual and very pleasant and helpful in both languages. Definitely worth a try if you like Swiss food and or have someone who's celiacMore

We live in the GTA and went to this restaurant a year ago. We have wanted to come back ever since. It lived up to our memory. Delicious food, generous amounts, a fun experience and a very pleasant waitress. We will be back again.

We really enjoyed the special 3 fondue dinner. There was so much food and the waiter was so friendly and explained the way to get the cheese crust from the pot which was delicious. We live 5 hours away but we are already planning a...trip again soon so that we can eat here again.More

An excellent evening spent enjoying the 4 course fondue meal. Starts with cheese fondue--more than enough for 2 of us; continues with a salad; chinese fondue; and finishes with a chocolate fondue. Food was good and plentiful. Service was helpful and cheery. We highly recommend...it for something different.More

This restaurant offers Swiss raclette and fondu chinois. Dining experience which is different than most other restaurants. As it is located in a strip mall, many parking available. Restaurant inside is very large and divided into 4 major sections. Décore - outside from the parking,...it does not look very good. Upon Entry,in the hall way, they decorate it with some Swiss alpine appeal which is nice. But the actually dining room is really dim and not much of an appeal nor décoré. Experience : great! Must try ! Food : We ordered raclette montagnard for two. as an experience , it is nice. Quality of food was descent. Even though they try to explain the food origine and how to eat on the placement mats, it was not very clear until the waiter explained. Portion was good and filling but we would have preferred better quality and less in quantity. Beef was too lean cut and chewy. Seafood shrimps and scallops were tiny. Price : most menus are $25-30 per person. They also have some promotions for all you can est or discounts on certain days of week. Service: in all honesty, maybe it is the covid or lock down, we thought the reception was abrupt and rude. We spoke French and made online reservation but he simply failed to acknowledge us until a younger gentleman assisted him. He also sat us down but we were forgotten and let in the back without menu for a while........ Additional note: unlike most indoor grill places we have been to, this location does not seem to have table ventilations. Our clothes smelled like smoked food the next day.More

Visiting relatives in Ottawa. They took us here. Cheese fondue was good. It was different cooking your own food on the supplied hot plate. The selection of food to cook was sufficient but the dipping sauces were unimpressive and boring. I make better at home....Overall the service was good and it was a fun experience. Nice to try something different.More

3 of us went on Victoria Day (May 20). Place was not busy - 2 out of 30 tables occupied. The "special" was all you can eat Racelette. Everyone had to take the special. We wanted 2 mains and the special. Nope. Misleading to force...all to eat the special. Misleading because if you eat too much on the "all you can eat", fine print says they can charge you more! What does "all you can eat" mean? Waitress then became rude, stopped speaking English and only spoke French. So read the fine print carefully and be wary on service. We got up and left and spent our money elsewhere.More

First timers went for Mothers Day with our teenage daughters. Staff were great explained the process extremely well in English. We had a nice relaxed meal in a enjoyable environment connecting as a family. Great selection of food for vegetarian, pescatarian and meat lovers all...in the same family. The chocolate fondu was a great finish. Highly recommended. Well worth the drive from Kanata.More

good cooking set, fresh cut veggies, beef, scallops, shrimps, baby potatoes (small creamers) and an array of 5 delicious sauces. Place your choices on the small raclette metal plates (they look like spatulas), cover them with cheese and cook to your liking. Dip or cover...with one of the favourite sauces, and voila...delicieux.More

Took the family to Meule et Caquelon and had a wonderful time. We weren't quite sure as we drove up to the restaurant, as it's rather unassuming and located in a strip mall. The inside decor isn't terribly fancy, but it's both welcoming and fun....The staff were fantastic - ensuring we had what we needed at a pace that was always attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious and we all left feeling very satisfied. We enjoyed both the fondue and the Raclette and were well taken care of with instructions on how to get the most out of the latter as we had never had Raclette before. We will definitely return next time we're in the neighbourhood!More

Don’t let the strip mall exterior discourage you! We just had New Year’s Eve dinner here with 5 kids and 4 adults and had an incredible time. The owner is so lovely and such a great host. We only had the fondue, but it was...very delicious and we would highly recommend it. Our waitress Pascal was attentive, cheerful, and extremely knowledgeable. We would love to come back on a return trip to Ottawa.More

Went for a family dinner, party of 8, and had a wonderful time. Our server was able to make suggestions which was excellent because only 1 of us had been before. We had a good selection of meat, vegetables, cheese and bread. The cheese was amazing!...Wine was reasonable priced and beer was better by the glass than by the pitcher. Would recommend reservations for large group. Plan to spend a couple of hours. Enjoy!More

No you cannot anymore. That being said, the wine they sell is only $7 over store (SAW) price which is more than decent for a restaurant.
