We visited the Bistro L’Autre Oeil to celebrate my daughter turning 18. A nice sized bistro, complete with an outdoor patio, we decided to stay indoors as it was a little cool that day. A really nice place with great decor it has an amazing...selection of beers on tap as well as a really good selection of cocktails and wine. Our servers throughout our visit were top notch as were the finger foods we ordered which included Nachos and Cheese Poppers. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and would not hesitate to return again in future.More

Having not been here for quite some time, I decided to meet my daughter-in-law for a girls outing. I'm not a beer drinker but do enjoy it once in a while, especially here with all the choices they have to offer. I was surprised to...see how big the place is compared to the former one, and busy too. This is a Bistro, not a restaurant, and so they only offer finger food, but they do offer a great chicken nachos.More

Discovered there a very good polish barley wine last week end and decided to go back this week only to get extremely disappointed by the service. It took almost 15 minutes to our waiter to get us the menus. And then he didn't know about...barley wines and had to go inquire for us. And then it took more than an hour to get an hamburger/fries and a shrimp popcorns. We were seating there feeling frustrated and miserable waiting after the bill and our waiter just disappeared. So another one went after it and never came back, so we decided to just leave and we grabbed the bill ourselves by the bar. Useless service! Service nul et exécrable!More

Great selection of beers, staff is super knowledgeable and give you all the information you need. Although I drank my fair share of beers during my life, im still a new guy when it comes to microbrews, really thankful for the advice!

This past weekend, a friend introduced us to a local bistro pub by his home in Aylmer. The L' autra Oeil is nestled in an historic house on the corner of Rue Principale and Avenue Frank-Robinson. There is free parking on site. While we were...just there for some drinks, the food we saw looked and smelled wonderful. I couldn't believe how many draft taps this unassuming establishment had. Their menu is absolutely endless. We all tried something new from the many catagories available. What quickly got my attention and the reason why I decided to write this review were the staff there. They were extremely friendly and we felt more like locals than strangers. Thank you for that. I can't wait to come back up this way and enjoy your patio with some friends. Keep doing what you do best.More

The service the food and the ambiance. Casual and fun. Outdoor patio, The craft beers are endless, the prices very reasonable. The food, traditional Quebec (French) options. Definitely start with any of the charcuterie boards and enjoy the relax atmosphere and the great beers. There...is also a very reasonable wine list short and sweet. Red/White and Rose.More

I have been going there for years and always enjoyed the people, ambiance and service. 2 years ago they moved to a new location. Still nice, a bit gigger, so more room not so crowded. The down side...the inside temp. I went last winter, and...we froze, I thought they would learn, it's their first year they would adjust. We were there tonight and it was only -15 outside and we all froze again, everyone kept their coats on, we heard the table beside us say, "I know I'm canadian but this is a cold bar". It is uncomfortable, the food is still good but cools down real fast once out of the kitchen, You just want to hurry and leave. This place was always packed on Friday but not tonight, there was still lot of room, I can't imagine what it would be like if it was -30 ?More

Great place to hang-up all year round. They have a big selection of beer. Ambiance is always great. They do serve food also. I'd stick to Nachos though as their menu is somewhat limited. their patio can accommodate a decent amount of people and it's...somewhat of a hotspot during the summer in Aylmer due to its convenient location.More
