Food was good, but very expensive for a cafeteria-like setting. Essentially, you go to a counter, order your food, and then take it to your table. My husband, myself, and our 2 kids (16 and 21) had two lobster rolls, two poutines, and a chowder....Cost was over $85 and we left hungry. Definitely nice to try once but probably won’t be back.More

Visited this restaurant in another location in 2008, and hoped for a similar experience this time -- it was not to be. My wife and I visited the Grey Rock location and were advised that we would have to get to the Main St. spot...to get a lobster dinner. Regrettably, we were only able to get a lobster roll, and the menu was the same as at Grey Rock. Also, the taste of the lobster roll left much to be desired -- was probably frozen lobster. My scallop dinner was much better than the lobster. The service was fine.More

Long trip, staying in Edmunston, someone suggested we eat here. At best I can describe this as Meh! I don't mind paying for a restaurant meal but I like to enjoy it more than MEH! Not terrible, just, not all that good. I don't understand...how anyone can give this place excellent. I had fish and chips. Fish was tasteless, fries were of a poor commercial quality. Staff not very knowledgeable. I asked if there was any local beer. What I got was a commercial beer that is bottled locally. Hardly local craft beer. MEH.More

I found the food and services great. When you see lots of locals there it's usually a good sign. It was a little busy but the wait was short.

This is by far my favorite restaurant around. Their Seafood Chowder is delicious and their BBQ routine is to die for. I wish i could eat there everyday. Great value for the price. Don't order the lobster salad though its not worth it.

Sunday morning breakfast at the Pirate is always very busy but is worth the wait of a few minutes to get a table. The meals are excellent, the menu has many choices and the prices are reasonable.

This place had a good truckstop breakfast, it was clean, well-decorated, and attached to a convenience store, gas station, and Tim Hortons. What more do you want?

Great lobster and crab rolls. Fast service. Atmosphere a bit dry and sterile but for lunch its a winner overall. Get some hot soup on a cold winter day!
