I have Celiac disease so it is always wonderful that there are gluten free options. I ordered a burger. It came on gluten free toast which was toasted perfectly. I inquired about the missing bacon and was informed that it is grilled on the same grill as regular toast so would not be gluten free. I do love bacon, but I love a restaurant even more that understands the importance of cross contamination. My burger came with cheese, sauté onions, lettuce and tomato (with pickles on the side for me to share with my wife) plus potato chips and a garden salad with a maple dressing that I really enjoyed. It was all very good. For dessert, I had a dark chocolate truffle torte. It was heavenly gluten free, but I’m sure anyone would have thought it just wonderful, too. My family ordered the regular hamburger, fish tacos and a grilled cheese sandwich. Each enjoyed their meals. They each got a dessert- 2 deep fried ice creams and one lemon custard in a shortcake tart. There were no crumbs left. Wait staff were friendly and attentive (even during the rush). Overlooking the botanical gardens while dining on the balcony would be the envy of kings. Watch out: They close soon for the summer ( end of august)

This is a wonderful place to eat. After reading some positive reviews we decided to try this Cafe and we were not disappointed. My children loved the kids brunch, while my wife really enjoyed her omelette and I was impressed with my veggie sandwich.

For brunch we had the 'sweet and savoury" brunch and "Cafe Floras" omelet. Both were very good with delicious fruit and tasty potatoes. We returned later for drinks and dessert. the Mango Tango and Delice au Cassis were great. The Kedgewick lager was very good. But the best was the Deep fried Ice Cream. So good, we asked for another for takeout. crust made from corn flakes on a vanilla and cinnamon ice cream. Served with blackcurrant coulis and honey. Many local ingredients used in their dishes and drinks. Wonderful experience. Beautiful view of the Botanical Garden and waterfalls.

Certainly is a beautiful view and great location but the quality doesn’t match the price. The mimosa was delicious! I ordered the charcuterie and with a price tag of $21, you would expect it to come with some sort of cracker, bread or something but it did not. I don’t order these things so I didn’t really know what to expect. Came home and googled the location and found an image that indeed had crackers and bread of some sort included. Kids had a grilled cheese (that looked good) and a hamburger (that did not look good) Luckily I don’t live close by and will probably never make it back.

It is really sad what transformation this cafe took. This cafe used to focus on fresh, local, fun, vibrant, and unique offerings. Now the menu is offering up frozen burger patties, prefab chicken, commercial desserts and pretty boring and uninspired plates. Menu items now lack balance and the plating is no longer exciting. Just a hint, there are much superior food offerings available in the region to discover!

Sadly the food and ambiance has completely changed. Up until now Cafe Flora has maintained its excellent standard since my original, glowing review in 2018. This season the cafe was launched under the control of a new patron and chef. The restaurant now reflects the true standard of cuisine normally found in this part of the world. Outstanding, freshly cooked and prepared, creative food has been replace by the the mediocre offerings of the warm up brigade. I cannot understand why such a retrogressive step has been made or perhaps the Botanic Gardens has a different perspective of the requirements of their clientele. I strongly believe they deserve much better.

Situated in the main building of the New-Brunswick Botanical Garden, the Cafe Flora is a great place to have lunch when visiting the garden but also for a good meal. P.S: If you like iced tea on a hot summer day, the Cafe Flora is for you. They serve fresh and fruity ice teas! Only negative aspect of this review: service. The service is quite long, but I’m guessing that considering that the staff looks like it’s mostly composed of college students it’s kind of understandable. This is the only reason why I decided to rate my experience at the Café Flora 4 out of 5 stars, because all in all it was a nice restaurant.

A cafe with a view on an enchanting garden where local greens and flowers find their way into Cafe Flora meals. Fresh and delicious in every bite, we stopped here based on pure fresh local grown foodie reputation. Comme for thé garden or the food but enjoy both! Stop here on your way East off the trans-Canadian highway!

We chose the cafe — which I think of as Cafe Failure — because we were visiting the gardens so we had no alternatives when it took more than an hour for us to get our food. First, we stood by the “please wait to be seated sign” for more than five minutes as waitresses scurried in every direction but ours. Finally my husband walked over to a counter to get someone’s attention and ask how long we’d have to wait before being seated. The waitress was annoyed. A few minutes later another waitress seated us. It took maybe seven minutes for a waitress to ask if we wanted drinks, and we ordered soft drinks. We asked if she could also take our food orders, as we worried we might not see her again. They were out of chicken paninis and something else, she said. Fifteen minutes later she brought us cans with straws, saying they’d run out of glasses. Maybe 50 minutes later we had our burger and grilled ham and cheese. In the meantime, other dinners who were near us and were leaving had noticed how long we’d waited and told us they hoped we’d eat soon. The food was tasty, but by then we were famished and couldn’t really appreciate the quality. The outside deck is pleasant and the waterfall sounds in the background were soothing, which is what we needed!

This colourful and vibrant restaurant is located in the Botanic Gardens in Edmunston with the terrace overlooking the waterfall and gardens. A paradise. The menu is as fresh and exciting as the food. The fish tacos and burger are exceptional. Fantastic fresh deserts and try the homemade lemonade. Service from the young and enthusiastic team is great. This is a rare and unusual gem in this part of the world. Worth a big detour. Don't forget to look round the beautiful gardens too!

My partner and I visited Canada from Ireland to do a cross country driving tour between Halifax and Toronto. We needed a break from long driving and pulled off of the highway thinking the gardens would have a large parking lot and a place to walk and stretch the legs. We were pleasantly surprised to find Café Flora. At first we thought it looked a bit pricey but after a very delicious meal we left feeling that the meal was amazing value. We both had fish tacos because we are obsessed with them in general and have tried them in around 20 cities in Europe, East Coast USA and Canada. These tacos were fresh and delicious!! I highly recommend them. We had fried ice cream for dessert. I’ve had it before but I found it especially tasty here. I couldn’t stop eating it even though I was full. The staff were a delight and could speak English - so for those who cannot speak French don’t be afraid to stop here. Bottom lines: friendly staff, fresh seasonal and delicious food. I suggest getting off the highway at the botanical garden here and having a bite to eat.

We happened across Cafe Flora on our road trip east. Fresh, well prepared and imaginative food although service was a tad slow - the unwelcome side effect of success. We'll definitely be back!

Tried the fish tacos this time. As usual, wonderfully layered flavours. Paired great with the fried ice cream. The cream of fiddlehead soup was also delicious.

A great spot for lunch, located in the beautiful New Brunswick Botanical Gardens. Amazing mix of flavors in every dish, congrats to the chef on such an amazingly crafted menu. It's pretty small but there's something for everyone. I got a cream of fiddlehead soup (best I've ever had!) and a bacon, brie and apple panini(So delicious!) Also the deep fried ice cream is the best dessert I've ever eaten in my entire life. Don't forget to ask about their lemonade of the day!! Will go back in a heartbeat :) *Note* it is only open for lunch on weekdays and brunch on the weekends. The menu is also different for lunch and brunch.
