The staff were very welcoming despite that we came about an hour before closing time. By the way, almost everything in Edmundston closes early- some restaurants close as early as 7pm! But Sushi World closed at 9 which is reasonable. The place was dim and cozy. They had a different way of making the Miso Soup but I loved it! There’s a wide range of choices for sushi so if you’re an indecisive individual, this would be difficult for you. Lol.. didn’t regret my choice- I had the Kamikazee and the Boston Makis. I loved them! Definitely one of the top sushi places I’ve visited worldwide. What a hidden gem in the heart of Edmundston. The server was very nice and attentive- Maryse (or maybe that’s the cashier’s name), anyway I would definitely go back if given the chance!

We stopped here coming back from Quebec City. We had a few rolls, a rice noodle Thai dish as well as the salmon tartare. The sushi was average and the sashimi was not very good as it tasted as if it had been freezer burnt. The Thai noodle was however pretty tasty. The service was really good and the place was interestingly decorated. Not our favorite sushi restaurant but we’d visit again on route to our next trip to Quebec City.

We found the Sushi World, we go back there every time we visit.
We love choosing a starter first because they are tasty
and affordable. For the main meal, my boyfriend appreciates more

It was simply the best sushi I’ve ever eaten in my life. It’s literally that simple. Creative and delicious pizzas ( smoked salmon, goat cheese, feta cheese, purple onion, and capers). (#7 ) along with wonderfully delicious sushi rolls (I had posideon and iroshima rolls). Both by far the best I’ve had in my life.

We ordered take out, the host was knowledgeable, and professional. They are quite busy - be sure to place your order in advance. I really enjoyed the pulled pork roll. They also have a lovely assortment of cactus growing in the foyer.

Ordered the decouverte which is suppose to feed two. This won’t even fill me. $30 plus tip for the trashiest most expensive sushi I have ever had. Never again.

The quality has been sinking lately..I don’t know if they’ve changed chefs or something but the thai food was taste less and the sushi wasn’t fresh...fish was dry and the rice felt like it was cooked the day before. Used to be better than that...

I went with some friends who are sushi eaters. They raved about the sushi. I got the pad Thai and it was horrible. No taste at all. Only thing going for it was that it was hot when it showed up. Asked for pepper to give it some taste and that got brought when I was almost done. A couple of guys had the general tao and they said it was bad too. Service was really slow. Took over 10 min to get a coke. I won't be going back.

Stopped into Sushi World as I was craving Sushi. As I came thru the door I was greeted quickly. I advised that I wanted take out and was then asked for what time. LOL...now I said. He then started asking for my phone number, then my first name then my last name I was like man I want California roll not a medical exam....he then took my order. The Sushi was nothing to get excited about at all and was very very small portions for the price. Each item ordered was 5 pieces of sushi. So I ordered 3 different items and recieved 15 pieces of Sushi for $23.00. I found them to be over priced and lacked in quality. The menu was in French only so was difficult to order. I Amy try them again but for the other items on the menu

One does not expect to find good sushi in Edmundston and I wasn't even looking. By chance, they were the best place still open and thank goodness. We'd been on the road for 14 hours and needed dinner.
Not only was the food delicious but they were gracious enough not to turn me away 5 minutes before closing.
Got to enjoy the cacti in the windows while I waited.
