We stopped at this restaurant for lunch had to wait nearly 40 minutes to get seated but was worth the wait. The 4 of u a had fish and it was really fresh and delicious. I recommend “Moules Et crevettes” to die for. Highly recommend...this placeMore
Stopped in to La Fabrique due to the Certiificate of Excellence on trip advisor but we were terribly disappointed with the service we got (or maybe I should say didn't get).
We were seated and promptly ignored, we had to ask for a beer order,...then while we were waiting for menus some other folks sat down at the next table and got their menus and orders in while we were still being ignored.
- Had to stop the waiter and ask for menus,
- Had to stop the waiter and ask to place our orders.
- Had to stop the waiter and ask for another beer.
- Was finally served our order I guess he didn't figure we needed utensils so ....
- Had to stop the waiter again in order to get utensils.
- And last but not least, had to stop the waiter again to get our bills.
This was by far the worst dining experience we had during our visit of the Gaspe region, and cannot recommend it to anyone.
**** The only reason I give this place a 2 is because our meal was decent, even if overpriced (we had the Fish&Chips and Smoked Meat Sandwich) ****More
For a relatively small town, this restaurant was hoping. A relatively young and local demographic. They offered many fresh seafood dishes. I had the steamed clams which came in a ceramic terirne, had some spicing and bacon bits to add flavor. Best Clams I've ever...had.
J'ai vraiment aimer les moules, qui etais preparer dans une sorte de terrine. Les meilleure que j'ai jamais manger.More
On the way to Perce this past week, we stopped here for a beer and lunch. The staff was very friendly, spoke English, the food was good, and the beer fine. Would have gone back again had we had the time.
I ate twice there in 2 days and loved it every time. I had a burger the first time and a turkey grilled cheese the next time. I also had a glass of their white beer brewed there. They brew a large quantity of beer...and even though I am not a beer drinker, I loved my white beer.
The only downside is that it gets really hot at lunch time, We ate there during a heat spell and it was suffocating. The service may be spotty also. They are young and some seem not that experienced.
However, I still recommend it because of the food and the beer.More
We decided to get dinner in Matane and this place was rated #1. We arrived at 5:30 and were seated right away. But it filled quickly after that. My husband enjoyed a local beer and we devoured the olive appetizer. His fish and chips were...superb - generous portions of fresh fish with a great batter. My daughter got the mussels Fabrigue and enjoyed them immensely. It was also a generous portion. I got the Oktoberfest platter - fresh, local sausage with sauerkraut, salad and fries. Delicious! Service was good, too. Menu is only in French, but I don't think there's a bad thing on it so just be adventurous and order even if you don't understand all the words.More
