We had a yummy dinner in this place as we indulged ourselves with a whole lobster (fully shelled, no worry!) in a creamy sauce accompanied with rice and veggies. As the restaurant is closed (due to Covid-19) one can eat outside on picnic tables or...on the beach. They offer a 20% discount on wine "because there is no service in the restaurant" (albeit they actually gave a good service since they brought us the bottle in an ice bucket). The price was a bit hefty (CAD176) but included a bottle of wine (ca. $60) and two lobsters. Definitely a good address in Matane.More

The view was nice with the ferry terminal providing entertainment. The service was inconsistent but accommodating. The smoked platter was delicious. Our favourite was the scallops follow by the shrimps and our less favourite was the trout. Trilogie des mers was well presented. The scallops...was the best and well balanced. The pear stuff with crab was good but the pear overpowered the crab. For the main we had the assiette des mers. The salmon was over cooked. Sadly for the quality of the restaurant, they should do a better job with the salmon. The green beans was undercooked. The rice was superb and the garlic butter.More

It is a bit of an old fashioned place but it deserves an A+ for the quality of its food and service. Seafood is amazing but the two meat dishes we had were delicious as well.

The Belle Plage was in the right place at the right time for us, so we gave it a try on the way home after a long day exploring along the Gaspésie coast. The dining room is pleasant, with big windows looking out over the...Saint Lawrence, and the sunset view is magical. We both had the filet mignon, which was excellent, and, though we had planned to hurry on home, we couldn’t resist staying for dessert and coffee. Dessert at the Belle Plage is a help-yourself buffet and is not to be missed. I tried the pecan pie and carrot cake, which were both very good, but my wife chose the prize winner, an amazingly light, airy and perfectly delicious lemon meringue pie. Her coffee and my espresso were also remarkably good, as was the level of service.More

Just got off the ferry and this was perfect as it was 5 minutes down the road. Check in was smooth and the room was huge, clean and super quiet. Was great and we were able to get off on our journey the next day...without a hassle. Unfortunately no coffee making facility in room but you can get complimentary coffee at the office. There was a fridge in the room. Bed was comfy. Perfect for passing throughMore

We had one full dinner, one partial (due to late arrival of the ferry) and a great breakfast. Everything was excellent, so there is no need to go into details.

The rooms off of the main hotel in the garden view are great. Spacious and clean. Quiet and recently updated. The restaurant for dinner was Devine. The meal plan was a great option and I went for it. All and all great service with front...desk and within restaurant.More

we were underwhelmed by the restaurant. The menu was dated, and needed something new with more flavour. My husband had the shrimp as an appetizer and was disappointed to see it was small salad shrimp in a mayo based sauce. We both had the cod,...mine was served with a lemon drizzle and my husband’s was served with a tomato salsa. The food was not bad but it was not what we expected after reading all the reviews. The dining room was very dated but saying that the view of the river was fantastic.More
