The food was fresh and well prepared and presented. I had a salad with shrimp. It was good, but I got tired of it and couldn't finish. I had the chocolate pate for dessert which was orgasmic.

Very tasty with combination of special flavours where you would not expect them. As well, chanterelles under the salmon were a plus. The portion much too small for me and I dared mentioning it to the chef who brought my plate. He was kind enough...to bring a little extra freshly cooked. All I can say is thank you Mr. Colbertaldo for this gesture. Your food is very finely put together. You're a real artist.More
What an underwhelming experience....when you sit down and nothing on the limited menu was appealing in anyway.....to the head cook/owner?.... abusing the bus boy for everyone to hear.....service was good, but that's all I can say....will never be back.....just the worst experience on this vacation....food...was terrible.....crab salad was grey and minced....like it came out of a can.....and overpricedMore
We went here based on good reviews but our experience wasn’t that great. We did not have a reservation and when we asked if a table was available the server turned to the owner to check and his response was “a walk-in? They can sit...outside or at the table in the back.” Not very welcoming and we should have left at that point but we were here. Took the table at the back and it wasn’t a horrible table, just no view. Server was very nice and pretty efficient. Food was mediocre. Not a lot of choices for entrees. Another thing we should have checked before sitting down. I get the small gourmet feel but too many garnishes and added stuff on the plates. It just wasn’t for us.More
This is an absolute jewel of an eatery. Paolo is a magician. The place runs like a top and the service is gracious and friendly. The menu never gathers moss, and is compact but still capacious. My cauliflower "flan" with mushrooms and some highly complementary...accompaniments (with lovely flavors all their own) was simply spectacular. So glad we stumbled in!!!More
Thoroughly enjoyed the food experience ,the staff and the ambience . Using local produce and changing menus made us come back twice within a month
had a terrific 5 course tasting menu dinner here. The flavours were well thought through and really worked. The restaurant is small, so be sure to make a reservation. The service was friendly and efficient. Cost was much lower than we would expect to pay...at home.More
First time we tried a tasting menu and it was soooo good. 5 course meal with two options for 4 out of the 5. Food was exceptional and service was great! Portions were large so you won’t leave hungry
An absolutely first class restaurant with market fresh food and an imaginative modern menu. Best food in town!
I loved how they change the menu every week. They take a weekly trip to the market every Thursday and pick up fresh ingredients for their new menu. Very unique and interesting food combinations - unlikely picky eaters (children) would like it. You need to...appreciate the diversity of ingredients. Almost entirely gluten free, and many dairy-free options. Overall very tasty!More
5 courses of small plates with 1-3 choices per course. Thoughtfully executed with locally sourced ingredients. All gluten free and I think mostly dairy free with some vegan options. Well flavoured so not for the weak palated.
While we applaud what they are going for (a fine dining experience with 5-course, prix-fix menu), they broke the two most basic restaurant rules: 1) the food should be great, and 2) guests should be sated at the end of the meal. The service was...friendly, but the food left us cold. There was nothing particularly tasty among the five courses or the additional two appetizers. The oysters were probably the best items of the whole meal. My husband also liked the fish cakes, I didn’t really care for them. The beets in the beet & goat cheese salad where boiled not roasted and there was no goat cheese, as far as we could see. The tempura broccoli must have been fried hours earlier and was very unpleasant. Perhaps the worst, even though I ate everything (except for the flabby skin on the chicken leg), I was still hungry when we left. That’s after $55 per person, not including appetizer and drinks.More
Paulo and his crew are amazing. The meal, the service outstanding. A tiny place where care, precision, exceptional taste is given to every detail. They care about their food, their staff and their clients and it's evident . Thank you for a memorable meal.
My husband and I shared the five plates special, which included wild mushroom taco, arctic char, and tiramisu for dessert. Dinner was fabulous, servers were busy but sweet. A special shout-out to Anna! Thanks to everyone for a meal we’ll remember for a long time.
An outstanding restaurant. Space is sparse and lovely. Staff are attentive, friendly, helpful. And the food: beautiful to look at, creative, amazing flavors. 5plates for $50….a great deal.
