Enjoyed excellent seafood fare here in late October. Many locals were enjoying a Saturday evening meal in this lively location. We were a group of four and everyone opted for seafood - all dishes and the service were excellent at a reasonable price.

Lunch Dec 1st. broiled oysters with cheese were perfect, not overwhelming, and cooked just right. Lobster club with beautiful fries was delicious and perfectly presented. Scallops were cooked in butter and el dente as they should be. Wonderful food and location. Even the tea and coffee come in their own press. This is a step up and management are thinking... More

We had relatives from England staying in Lunenburg so took them to the Grand Banker for supper. It is wonderful to eat fresh seafood while overlooking the water where it was caught. We started with muscles and the beer sampler and everyone chose a different entree from scallops to fish and chips to Risotto and no one was disappointed,

Joined the tourists on the south coast of Nova Scotia - delicious hot crab cakes while it rained ... cozy with view out to the water and working fishing boats and warehouses.

Last here in November 2015. We want to say "even better" but how can you improve on perfection? Our party of three all had the seafood quartet and agreed that everything couldn't have been any better! Beautifully presented and perfectly served! The wine suggested by Adam Bower paired as it should. We all decided that we will not wait another... More

Friendly staff, great location. Fiancé and I ate there for dinner our first night in Lunenburg. She ordered the Seafood Linguine ($18) and it was a great value. Shrimp, Haddock, Scallops were all tasty and fresh. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin ($24) which is priced lowered then most places and came with Garlic Mashed. Everything was good except my steak... Hubby and I toured Lunenburg this summer and this was our favorite pick. We started with a flight of different white wines and charcuterie & cheese which were a great start. Hubby had the lunenburger which was the most unreal burger I've ever seen; beef, smoked bacon and mozzarella, baby spinach, lobster and tarragon butter sauce all topped with a... More

Perched high on a hill in tiny Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, is a wonderful eating experience! We ordered the Popeye's Spinach and Crab Dip served with fantastic homemade chips plus Maritime Seafood Chowder for starters and shared the 2-piece Hell Bay Fish and Chips. All had outstanding flavor, and the fish was huge: it hung over the sides of the plate!... More

It had been several years since we had been to The Grand Banker so when we wanted to get together with friends, we recommended this place. My spouse and my friend both got the apple/squash soup and both felt that it wasn't as good as they remembered. Looked to have more apple and a lot more cream drizzled on it... More

We were there last evening with friends. I had the seafood chowder for an appetizer. Lots of fish, but the scallops and shrimp must have been forgot about. Didn't have a lot of flavor. I had the Pan fried Haddock for dinner and the coating was saturated with oil. Scraped the coating off and ate the fish which was good... More
