The concierge at our Ramada hotel recommended this place for dinner. Apparently it’s been in operation for 11 years and so we drove off to find it in town. When we entered at 6:00 PM we were very surprised to see the place was quite...full but were able to get a table without a reservation. Four in our group, opted for the soup of the day, a seafood Alfredo, and two portions of cod and chips. We were very pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was absolutely superb and some of the best our group has tasted. When we left the place was still full so this must be a prime place in this small town.More
We’re doing a little road trip through the Rockies and have been careful about restaurants but this one was so highly recommended that we wanted to give it a try. On the positive side the server was very friendly and the yam fries were some...of the best we’ve ever had - highly recommended! They were light and crispy and served with a yummy aioli. We’re vegetarian so for a main we shared the veggie curry bowl, which wasn’t amazing but was fine. Portions on both dishes were ok but not huge.
On the negative side - we were appalled that none of the staff that we saw were wearing masks. This was the first restaurant on our whole trip where we encountered that. We did see our server use hand sanitizer and we were able to sit outside, which are the only two reasons we didn’t immediately leave, but we were definitely uncomfortable. The only other issue we had was my beer was barely cool, definitely not cold, which is disappointing after a hot day of driving but I could have sent it back and I didn’t so it was my own fault. In normal times we would recommend this restaurant but during the pandemic we would give it a miss. We do realize many others wouldn’t be as concerned and, if that’s the case, definitely give this nice little restaurant a try. If the other food is on par with the yam fries, you won’t go wrong!More
We were going to visit one of the local pubs but we wanted to try something a little different. This restaurant was a great choice. The food was excellent. and nicely presented. I had the Valley Salad with the grilled chicken. It was delicious. It was...prepared using local ingredients . My partner had the fish and chips which he pronounced: Excellent. Great place to visit if you are in CrestonMore
We had dinner here a couple of nights ago, on the recommendation of the owner of the motel we stayed at (another awesome experience!). My wife started with a glass of their homemade lemonade, which she pronounced amazing. We started with the Crispy Broccoli appetizer,...and we were simply amazed...we both said we would have been entirely happy to just have another plate of the broccoli as our entree! Tracy had the Valley Salad with chicken as her entree, and was completely satisfied if not blown away (I tried some and I thought it was great!). I had a special pasta that combined local beef, broccoli, and a teriyaki-type sauce...it was flat-out amazing. Tracy didn't have room for dessert, but I had the caramel cheesecake, which was a nearly religious experience! We'd go back here in a flash!More
We've eaten here, every time we're in town. Never disappoints. Very good food and very friendly service. It's a very clean restaurant. Have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Pretty busy place, so I recommend a reservation.
Friendly service, great atmosphere. Calamari appetizer was Gordon Ramsay level delicious -- lightly dusted and the waitress-recommended substitute from a chipotle dip to a rhubarb chutney was brilliant. Amazing. Entree unfortunately was a step or two down from that. Good food, well prepared, but drowned...in a somewhat industrial tomato sauce that simply overwhelmed the seafood. Not typical of this restaurant, which remains *the* jewel in the Creston area.More
