We had heard so many people sing the praises of the perfect french croissant...and Canael is the answer. The restaurant is cute and welcoming and the service is wonderful. The young staff clearly like their jobs and love what they are selling. They were helpful and wanted to show us all of the options. We had a wonderful breakfast and... More

Wow ...this place is a hidden gem that is off the beaten track that locals try hard to keep to themselves. There is no word to describe this place except that for foodies like me, it is paradise and by the look of the line-up, I'm not the only one who thinks so. The breakfast menu was a mouth-wateringly delight... More

I came to Canael on a Sunday for brunch. At first, it was pure chaos. There was a lineup at the door but nobody really knew what was going on, or where to go. Nobody was greeting us or telling us where to go. Staff would pass in front of us without noticing us, and I thought to myself that... More

Delicious bread, baked goods, all kinds of incredible pastries! My kind of place... It was the only place we could find offering food recently when the power was out in the whole town. They were very kind. I would like to go back sometime when we could try some of their savoury choices.

Wow, the BEST croissants and viennoiseries. This is the favorite place for bringing treats to work. Delicious light lunches with home made specialties. A must stop of you're in the area.

We out in the countryside looking at all the trees turning colors. Got hungry, but you are in the country. Saw, what looked like a small cafe, BUT, when you pulled over to park, you noticed that all three of the parking lots are almost full. Went in, looked and smelled yummy. But, every thing is in French and we... More

Found this Bakery/Pastry shop on Google. Intended to pick up a coffee and croissant to go but decided we to stay when we entered. Lovely decor, large and spacious with tables inside and outside. We tried the Le Parisien (a 1/2 baguette with jams, pastry and fresh pressed orange juice) and Le Quebecois (everything you can think of) platters. The... More
