So this was a tough one. Loved the decor. Loved our server - he was fantastic! But the food was just ok. It all looked beautiful and high class but the food itself was just alright. The taste wasna bit lack luster and that seemed...to be the consensus from each of us. The veggies weren't quite cooked enough to get that al dente result, some of the calamari was chewy, a few dishes could have used more seasoning... and the whipped cream on the dessert tasted like fake whipped cream. For what it cost, we had hoped for a bit better.More

I had a lovely server Dianne who welcomed me and served with a smile (I could tell even under her mask). She was friendly and kind and the food was delicious. I was impressed with the high ceilings and eye catching art work. A great...meal.More

I had a reservation at this location on Aug 27 2021 at 5pm. On arrival we were greeted by the hostess / server with her mask sitting on her chin not covering her nose or mouth. When she returned to our table the first time...she had her mask over her mouth, but not her nose. Then when she brought our beverages she had the mask sitting on her chin again covering nothing but her chin. Also noticed a male staff member mostly in the back with his mask in the same location. Looking at the menu right on the bottom, also on their website they say they are keeping their customers safe by wearing masks, and disinfecting their tables between customers. The table was covered in salt and pepper, yet there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table. So this made us very uncomfortable. When the hostess / server came back to take our food order, we were honest and told her we didn't feel comfortable as she was not wearing her mask properly as it was only covering her chin. We said the table was dirty, so it obviously wasn't sanitized. She apologized, and still stood there with her mask on her chin. I will say, I noticed two other servers who did have masks on every time I saw them and they were wearing them properly. So, if you want to risk catching Covid-19, this is the place to go.More

We ordered online and our meals were ready as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. The service was very prompt, polite and friendly . The servings were very large and we've had 2+ delicious, flavour filled meals out of each plate . We would...definitely do this again, and recommend that others don't hesitate to try Symposium.More

Was a beautiful breakfast and experience. The restaurant is very spacious and the atmosphere is great as well as the service. Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant I’d only ever been for breakfast We thought we’d give it a try for dinner. My wife had salmon and I ordered seafood pasta We were both sooo impressed. The salmon was delicious and had no skin (a big deal...to my wife) My seafood pasta had plenty of shrimp and big pieces of salmon. The spinach dip appetizer was good but not the best we’ve ever had. After the “shut down” as a result of the COVID 19, it was refreshing to return to one of the best restaurants in Alliston. Have not been here for awhile because service had been slow so we tried it again tonight. Food is alway great but the server we had is not the best. We watched how the couple beside us had got their main dishes before they had...got their appetizer. When the same server we had said oh I did not hear that. When. She took our orders we did let her know we were in a rush so she never asked how I wanted my steak bites . They were ok but I would have liked to have them medium rare not the way they were. I am glad that we went again but I will now ask not to sit in that server's area as. She is always there.More

Meal was lovely. Waitress was very nice, the manager was very helpful at finding us a table, it was busy and we did not have a reservation. We are also going to a movie afterwards, but timing of food and drinks coming out was great....Will go back.More
