We weren't expecting to dine outside, but so glad we did. The pulled pork was delicious , the seared tuna wrap was great too. Friendly staff are always appreciated.

Had the the brisket plate, beans, coleslaw and deep fried Mac and cheese... lovely. Barbeque sauce was more on the vinegar side than I prefer..but good. My partner had the oyster poboy..also good. Nice outdoor deck, little breezy but nice view.

When you are in Gibsons take a walk out on the pier and you find the Smoke on the water BBQ Shack. Meet the owner and chef and try the delicious food. Relax and enjoy it on the patio overlooking the harbour.

The food, the slaw, the owners, the view of a working, fishing, village marina. Folks, for a small, little (classy) shack on the ocean, it just doesn't get any better than this.
We had the brisket sandwich and it was smoky, twangy and yummy. The sides were also good - the fries and the slaw. The service is at the window.
