Delicious cream cheese peach danish and peach turnovers. Was visiting from Washington State, and will be back the next time I am here!

Excellent buttery baking—puff pastry turnovers (peach or apple), fruit danishes, croissants, cookies. Fresh, professionally made items. Bought a saskatoon berry pie to take home to Vancouver! Devoured a blueberry danish, kielbasa and cheese croissant, and chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies for the road. Would...have —should have—bought more!More

Walked past this place on a quiet Sunday night. After visiting the Fort on Monday, dropped in for some pastries and light fare for the road. The peach turnovers were delectable, so flaky. The lady that served me was nice. The place is on historic...Main Street.More

We were out for a small road trip and ended up in fort Macleod. We discovered this bakery by chance. It is hard to find a bakery of this quality like this anymore. All the desserts we tried were excellent. We will definitely stop there...again when passing through.More

Stopped on my way home from Waterton. This bakery is amazing. Everything looks to be created by a master baker. We had sourdough rye bread, cookies, croissants, and brown rolls. It was all excellent! The butter tarts looked fabulous, I will have to try next...time.More

We stopped at Homestead Bakeshop on our way through town, and are we glad we did! We bought the ham and cheese croissant, sticky bun, and frosted cinnamon bun... everything was delicious! We were very impressed with quality of the food as well as the...very reasonable prices. My husband also got coffee and he said it was very good as well. My only complaint is that there wasn’t a change table in the washroom, it would be nice if they could add one. Make sure to stop at this bakery, you won’t be disappointed!More

Visited Fort MacLeod and started by having coffee and muffins at Homestead. Our immediate impression was on how clean this bakery was. The house made blueberry muffins were very fresh and delicious. Next we returned for a late lunch (because of our first impression). The...special was soup and sandwich for $9.95 which we had. Soup was a “vegetable meatball soup” - beef, tomatoes and a variety of vegetables; full bodied. The toasted sandwich was “kolbassa sandwich” which included tomato and cucumber. Both items were excellent quality and tasty. First class value and a must stop for a food break when visiting Fort MacLeod.More

Nice cafe/bakery on main street with good coffee and own baked products. Visited late in day so not a wide selection but pecan tarts were delicious as were the take out cakes that we bought.

We where walking around town and discovered this bakery. We went in to grab a quick bite to eat. We had the combo soup and sandwich, all fresh! Price was very reasonable. I also had a coffee which was awesome! It was what we needed...and expected. They had all sorts of breaks ready for purchase. We did plan on going back but ran out of time. Would go back!More

When we visited Fort McLeod, there were few venues open for lunch. We chose the Bakeshop and the sandwiches were fine. However the pastries that we bought to take away were delicious, as were the rolls. I highly recommend these rolls. They lasted several days...carefully wrapped in their bag and unlike a lot of bread had some flavour.. Customer service was slow to warm up but we got there in the end!More

Stopped in for lunch. Chose ONLY sandwich choice- chorizo sausage sandwich. On WHOLE sandwich was two quarter sized pieces of sausage. Yes, as thin and diameter of a quarter. Complained and received a handful more of the quarter sized pieces for 3 sandwiches! Daughter had...bun with hair in butter. Service less than adequate. Don’t eat here.More

Wow, if you are in the neighbourhood you have to try the pastries at this bakery. We had chocolate croissants which were flaky and full of flavour, the chocolate was exquisite. Sourdough toast was fresh and tasty. Came back for the soup and sandwich lunch...which was equally amazing. Everything is baked fresh here and the prices are way too low for the quality. The Europeans think they have the pastry and baked goods market pegged, they are wrong. Do yourself a favour and try it for yourself. Service is friendly and efficient.More
