There are not a lot of other places open. If you like burgers, fries, and rootbeer, this is the place to come.

Although the motel that we were staying in offered a free breakfast it looked very unappetizing so we came to the A & W which as decorated more along the lines of a 60’s diner. The staff are very Fran’s it is obviously the place of choice for a number of locals. The food was good and reasonably priced.

Good location usual A&W food. Not more to say than that. I did the trick for our lunch hunger. Plus pee break!

It was a full hour before the drive through was closed and I expected, at least, the normal A & W quality, which is not great but OK. Instead, my mama burger was cold, the onion rings were burned and the fries were absolutely tasteless. There were no napkins nor condiments in the bag. The service was acceptable, although taciturn. I was extremely hungry and had to eat but only managed a few bites. Just a bad meal.

We dined here at the Ft MacLeod location for breakfast on Saturday, July 03/21; our first time since spring 2020. This was always one of our favorite A&W's but not anymore. What the heck happened here? New management/owners?
My husband and I both ordered the All Canadian Specials and 2 small coffees. I ordered my eggs over easy. They were not over easy, not even over medium; they were over HARD. I barely ate any of the eggs. The toast wasn't toast, it was bread and there was barely any butter on the bread; we had to ask for butter. Didn't matter though, because in the end it was unappealing to eat bread for breakfast so we also did not eat that. Now the coffee - oh my gawd! Awhile back A&W's had changed their coffee and we found the new coffee delicious. Not here. I don't know what kind of coffee they're using, but it was horrible. It was really dark and at first I though it was really old coffee, but that wasn't it. Not only did it have a weird, terrible taste, but it also had a weird, terrible smell. So bad that we couldn't drink it.
This breakfast was a total waste of our money and time. If we had had more time, we would have requested new meals or our money back. Instead, we just chocked it up to a loss and vowed never to return here.
Strongly Do Not Recommend.

The burgers was really dry. Almost choked because of how dry it was. My youngest had chicken strips and found plastic and spit it out thankfully. The staff were defiantly friendly the food was not the greatest.

Good coffee in 2020. Then brain dead decision to make a "milder form" starting in 2021. I had recommended coffee in 2020 to friends, they tried some in 2021, they all said it was terrible. This is not milder, it has been watered down. Why do companies mess up so much. Who is the idiot that made this decision?

The difference is the service, friendly and helpful staff, clean restrooms and that "good vibrations" all around. You get your poutine served in porcelaine dishes instead of getting thrown on with it in a soggy cardboard box...

My husband aI stopped here for a meal on our way through Fort McLeod on August 17th around 11:00 am. The cashier had her back toward us visiting with another employee as we waited at the counter. We waited at least two minutes and she didn't turn around and acknowledge that we were even there. I said, "excuse me" politely, and she still ignored me, so we walked out and I don't even think she noticed. It was not busy either!!
We went somewhere else.
A&W is usually one of our go to restaurants. Sorry...we won't be stopping at the one in Fort McLeod ever again. Please teach your employees what customer service is all about.

Some of the loveliest people work at this a&w. 10/10 recommend. All helpful and kind. The owner bought our meal because of the wait. Yummy food, too.

Had a great feed with Grand kids...ate on patio! This is a great burger place ....with a coupon prices even better!! Also serves soft ice cream cones...at a grest price!!

Lots of parking available. Friendly staff when we walked in. Food was fresh and served quickly. Highly recommend for a quick stop and good food.
