We were passing through Fort Macleod and were looking for somewhere for lunch. We ended up at New Hong Kong Restaurant. We tried one of their Vietnamese dishes, Rice Vermicelli. It was ok but rather disappointing. My wife thought that she could taste something moldy....I didn’t notice it. There is free parking out front. We won’t be back.More

My girl from Texas wanted some ginger beef so we stopped in and the food was great and the service was even better! 10/10 would recommend

New Hong Kong in Fort Macleod is our favorite place for Chinese or Vietnamese Food. Always a good meal and fast friendly service. Wonderful owners.

Ordered my dinner, did not like the meat, it was horrible, was suppose to be sweet and sour pork and looked like a uncooked pork cutlet with yellow sauce on it. I said I would take the dry ribs instead for $1.95 charge, should not...I of been charged but whatever, ribs not good either, worse meal ever. Anyways it gets better, went to pay and they charged me $2.95 not $1.95 because it was a add on and I wasted the first meat selection. Anyways horrible food and mean waitress (owner).. Should of went to A&W for $26.00.More

I have never had such flavourless, over-priced food anywhere in Canada. Avoid this place, it is disgusting, kept going only by the fact there are so few restaurants in this town. Pathetic place.

I came into town to visit family and really liked the people and the food. Food was tasty and the wait staff were friendly and not at all racist like the other chinese restaurants we visitied. I will definitely come back again

Ate here for lunch. Found the dishes not what you expected with some questionable smells and tastes. Chicken was dry and most food lacked flavor. Staff was decent and restaurant pretty nice for Chinese in a small town. Try China City or Silver Grill instead.

We got in to town late (8:55pm), needed supper, all places were closing at 9:00, but these people were friendly, took our order, and stayed open! (Their closing time was 9 as well). The food was good, but they really made an impression through their...hospitality!More

Was travelling through Fort Macleod on business and thought I'd give this place a try. Big mistake. Food was very bland and they tried to make up for it by throwing salt at it. Could very well have been the worst Chinese food I have...ever eaten. The waitress was pleasant but it's too bad the food was nowhere near the same.More

I was not that all impressed with this new restaurant. The portion size was very large. I had the Hong Kong chicken chow mien, the taste was very bland. When the meal arrived I thought it was a good serving but as I pushed away...the veggies I found that the whole plate was just noodles with veggies on top.More

Good selection of Chinese dishes as well as Vietnamese dishes considering Fort McLeod is the farming/ranching country so cannot be compared to Calgary which has a large ethnic population. The dishes offered are tasty and well portioned. The owners are friendly and service is great.... There is a number of selections for their dinner for one at a reasonable price.More
