We decided to visit the Crown Inn whilst going going down to Century to do some walking along the coastal path. We were very disappointed to find that it was closed and it was Saturday lunch time. Not sure why this was as there was no signs to let us know. I have not visited this place for a while... More

After a long walk on the coast path, tired kids & worn out dogs in tow, we headed for lunch at The Crown. Sitting outside in the sunshine with a great Sunday lunch. I was suspicious of the low price & resigned to poor offering. But the friendly staff appeared with dish after dish of nicely cooked vegetables, extra veggie... More

We were made reasonably welcome and the food was adequate but the atmosphere was a little lacking. It must be very difficult running a pub in what is quite an out of the way location and hence it is probably necessary to go to extra effort to encourage people to return. The TV dominated the bar , although I appreciate... More

Visited a week ago and was not expecting much after reading several Negative reviews on here. Well I was very surprised to find The food was very nice. My Partner Had Gammon which he said was delicious. I had a beef curry which was very nice but could have been a bit hotter as it was a bit to mild... More

Arranged to meet family here for dinner well where do I start; the outside which used to be lovely had been let go the grass was so long, the poor fish in the pond with no water looked like they had also seen better days....The selection of food was reduced from the menus as they had run out of so... We Ate here 2 times whilst on Holiday with our Family. on both occasions we were made very welcome by the Staff. When ordering our food we were told that there would be a wait. Some tables complained about waiting 35 - 40 minutes, but having been told there would be a wait they had ample opportunity to go elsewhere... More

Sorry guys, but not a good start when a pub has run out of beer! Our plans for a mid-week family meal whilst on hols carried on regardless but the food took 90 minutes, and place was not particularly busy. Same deal with table near us. Food was nice and plentiful once arrived, but getting dark by then...

I had a meal there a few days ago.I must say it was terrible. The vegetable Lasagne was the worst I have ever experienced and the chips were inedible. The glasses in the pub were dirty.I noticed the landlady choose three glasses before she found a clean one. I understand that the pub is up for sale. I will return when... More

Ordered my meal only to find out they didn't have it, then ordered something else, didn't have that either. Then ordered something else and the chef forgot my meal. Staff weren't very helpful

Came here with my partner and son last week! I ordered the Gammon and my partner had the Lamb burger! The gammon was gorgeous along with the homemade onion rings and chips! Well worth the money. My partner ate all of his meal too and as well said it was lovely. Lovely, friendly staff and a warm, cosy pub. Would... More

Set in country style garden surroundings, the pub offers a large car parking area with ample of outside seating for those sunny days. Coupled with a large childrens play area we also have pet ducks and chickens often wandering around the place. We are dog friendly and allow them into the bar area providing they are well behaved and on a lead.
Inside the pub has a traditional feel about it with period features, exposed beams, hot fires for the winter months and low doorways, so do mind your head!
We serve British pub food and always aim to surpass our customers expatiation but in the off chance if something is not quite right please do let us know so we can do our best to rectify things.
