There were 12 of us so we pre ordered which worked really well. The food is gorgeous and comes with more sides than actually advertised... all 12 of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and several then went onto have desert which also delicious. Would def re-visit!

The service is great and the price middleing. Had the pheasant, which was ok. Not mouth wateringly good though. I can recommend the Cheshire Cheese Soup it's to die for. Also had the Garlic prawns which were delicious, but not enough bread to mop up the garlic butter. I asked for another piece which was very tiny and got charged... More

Thank you for serving us with only 5 minutes until the end of service...the food was excellent...we will be back and recommend to our family and friends. We particularly must commend you on your vegetarian and vegan options..how fantastic it was to have at least 4 options!.Keep up the good work!

Arrived on a snowy and cold day. Instantly felt warm and welcomed in the bar area. Busy but a few tables spare - good menu with plenty of choice for veggies and different diets. Hubby had the pork filet in a creamy mustard sauce and declared this delicious. I had a falafel burger which was great but couldn't manage the... More

We visited here last Week for lunch. It was quite busy and we were advised there was a wait for food. Not a problem as we got drinks quickly. Our food was lovely, my husband hasn't stopped raving about the soup, my bacon, brie and redcurrant ciabatta was fab and the chunky chips more than yummy. Will be back very... More

Food excellent, can highly recommend the Sunday lunch, £9.95, all home cooked food. We were in a group of 10 and all the different meals looked excellent. Sticky toffee pudding was also delicious. Staff were very friendly and our Bearded Collies were made very welcome too. A warm, welcoming village pub in a lovely setting. Will definitely be visiting again.

This is very suitable for walkers and there are plenty of beautiful walks in the vicinity of the Ship Inn. It's quite small but very cozy, we went for lunch today and we wanted to sit next to a fireplace and although there are 3 fires (that we saw) only one was lit and there was already other guest sat... We visited the ship inn on Friday 30th December as we were staying in the village for a break. I had booked several weeks before as I was aware it could get booked up. We had a lovely table round from the bar. The service was fabulous-couldn't be faulted. The food-we had eyes bigger than our bellies. Had starters-my husband... More
