We are staying at The Bonnie View, a nearby resort, and got takeaway from The Maple Pub. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious, with very generous portions. We ordered the Korean tacos (which are much bigger than pictured on the website!), Caesar salad and the...Chicken Parm. The parm was the size of a dinner plate and the fettuccine Alfredo was perfect- often it gets gloopy if not eaten immediately and this was still a wonderful consistency, even after the 10 minute car ride back to the resort. These days, it seems many restaurants are suffering from severe labour shortages. We are renting a cottage in the area, and there are not a whole lot of choices of quality places to eat in Haliburton/Minden. We decided to try Maple Avenue, as the patio...looked quite inviting. It took a long time for a hostess to appear and seat us, a long time for our orders to be taken, and an even longer time for the food to finally appear. We waited a total of 1.5 hours from the time we showed up to the time the food came. The food was OK. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. The server was friendly enough, and did tell us that it would be a long wait for the food. On the whole, an OK place with a fairly generic menu and a nice local atmosphere. I understand that the long wait times were not necessarily the fault of the restaurant, and would return if the place is better staffed.More

Today my hubby and I picked up a Korean chicken burger, a Korean taco and a clubhouse sandwich. The flavours were amazing in the burger and the taco. Sooo good. Can't wait to order them again. The clubhouse was really good too but the Korean...choices were such nice surprises as we have never had them before. Spicy and delish! We will definitely be ordering them again on our next trip up to the cottage. Thanks Andy, and staff for the delicious lunch! PS: we were so excited to eat that we didn't take pictures!More
