Joined about 30 Freinds for a Freinds 70th Birthday party, serving that size of a group was no easy task yet the staff pulled it off impeccably well. It was recommended by Freinds that had been several times before to try the Veal Canaloni and...I must say they’re recommendation was absolutely spot on. Oh ya my wife’s Spaghetti and Meatballs was to die for ( Opps can I say that )
An absolutely fantastic night.More
I know how hard it is to run a restaurant - how difficult it is to provide continuous quality but thats their job. Have visited this establishment many times and mostly they have exceeded my expectations - until last night.
Ordered a pizza to take...out. Have done so a number of times because they have/had the best Neoplitan style pizza around. Somethings changed - this one was terrible. The dough has changed - where it was light and airy, no it is flat and hard. Could have bounced the crust off the floor. toppings were hard to distinguish and very little of them. Paid for extra cheese - which was hard to find. This was no better than Lil Caesars or any other low quality pizza joint. Very disappointed.More
Went for dinner last night to treat the grand kids and weren’t disappointed. The waitress Emily was excellent and looked after us and the kids with a genuine smile the whole time! The pizzas for the the kids were awesome case in point they both...ate the whole thing and the gnocchi and linguine we had was excellent! Will be going again in the future.More
There were 6 of us for a family meeting,pre-booked table.
Lovely setting, staff friendly and courteous all the way through the evening.
All our course selections were cooked to perfection and all plates were cleared completely.
The wine selected by us a BC wine a Merlot...called Burrowing was superb.
On the top of my Boomerang list whilst visiting my daughter in BC.More
Our family and friends were there for a Birthday Dinner a week ago. There were 16 of us and we had the private room. It was wonderful. The food was soo good and the service was also. All 16 us were served wonderful pasta dinners,...all served at the same time and everything was fresh and hot. The bread served to the table was delicious. We have been before and will go again.More
Our family had our Mom's 93 Birthday dinner ( private room ) there - drinks , food , service , ambience and music could not have been better!! Would recommend for any occasion (or just dinner out) - looking forward to my next visit !!!
Visited on a slow Monday.
Crab Aranchini - ok...not great.
Halibut spl was good. Could have been better seasoned. At $42 expected the fish to be brined a bit for more flavor. Could with more sauce.
Chicken was good, wing part still pink though, gnocchi...excellent, sauce great.
Tiramisu a letdown. Thin layer of cheap custard and more sponge, no marsala or other liquor flavour, very little coffee flavor.
Service was good.
Overall, too expensive for the quality you get. At those prices, one would expect better quality.More
This was our second visit as we really enjoyed it the first time, but why do they put a couple at the table by the washroom. Restaurant not busy. Would have loved to be seated at a nicer table. We went on Sunday and the...guitarist was awesome. Lovely to listen to, but then I'm looking strait at the TV at the bar. This does not go along with the fine dining experience and music playing. For this reason alone we will not return. Also, menu was wrong. I ordered the Pork Belly dinner and got the appetizer version. When I complained, she said it is what I ordered. NOT. OK, an honest mistake as they also have a dinner version.....but when the server explained the dinner version, it was described wrong on the menu. Dinner option says braised pork belly with tiger prawns and risotto, but the actual dinner if I had ordered it would have been pork belly in the risotto and tiger prawns. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, acknowledged the discrepancy and then comped my meal. We would go back but the TV was so annoying for a fine dining restaurant, so we will not return. Sorry. I rated the value low due to the annoying TV.More
