I have been going to this restaurant for many years. The food is consistently very good and service great also. I sure do miss the farmhouse chicken burger that has recently been removed from the menu :( It was one of the best around. My...only complaint is the noise level when it's busy.... All the chatter and then the music on top of it all is a bit much. I'm sure I will be back again soon!More
This is a very nice restaurant and the food is good. I came here with friends for lunch. I usually like a glass of dry red wine with lunch and always ask for a glass of the house red. When ordering house win I usually...expect to pay between $12 & $15 a glass for a 9 or 8 oz glass. When I asked the waitress what they had, she answered a Cab Sav or a Merlot. My fault 100%, I did not check the menu. I ordered 2 glasses of House Cab Sav. The 2 glasses cost $45.50. I feel the waitress should have at least mentioned the price of the Cab Sav. (The Merlot price is $15.00 an 8oz glass). Lesson learned! Check the menu before ordering any drink from the server.More

Nice place and good service . the ladies at the check in did their best to give a good table and said if we would come bd j in 20 minutes she would have reserved a good table . exactly after 20 minutes we had...a nice corner in the restaurant . the food was good. the steak was real good and service was very friendly. the music was good but a bit to loud .More

By far the worst Chicken sandwich I had in the recent times. This place used to be awesome but looks like they started skimping on quality recently. There was hardly any chicken in the chicken sandwich, it seemed that they cut one single chicken breast...into three to four sandwiches. The chicken was less than a centimeter thick(see pictures), this was a joke for paying 20 dollars for this sandwich. I let the server know about this and they just ignored it and brushed it aside. Overall paid close to 50 dollars for this rip off meal. Me and my wife both were hungry after this meal and we literally went to another place after spending 50 dollars here. Please improve your quality, you guys were awesome in the past. Now it seems like they just want to cut corners to make more money.More

After searching for hours for a great patio we finally found one! The hosts were attentive and got us a table less than the quoted time (and let us switch to a more sunny table) and our server Kristien was very kind and was great...at recommending items to us. I have always loved village tap house but it’s nice to see that they are doing so well during this time!More

Rude staff and horrible service . The management team are bunch of young and rude people. The food quality is okay but the service is the worse in vancouver .

Enjoyed our visit here. They're quite thorough on COVID-19 precautions, which we all need; menu accessed via cellphone. Lots of craft beers on offer, and our server was super helpful in guiding our choices. Burger was excellent, with tasty fries. Forager pizza was more crusty...than one might expect, but it was a crunchy cheezy crust, so fine by me. Good visit, lots more to try on the menu.More

My wife was invited to a graduation dinner at the Village Taphouse for her grandson at 4:30 June 25. She ordered turkey clubhouse. When the waitress brought the food there was no clubhouse. They informed waitress and she returned with a chicken burger. We sent...it back reminding the waitress she had ordered a clubhouse. After another 10 - 15 minutes when everyone had finished eating my wife was told she would have to wait some more she told the waitress to cancel. There was no attempt by staff to make sure my wife didn’t leave hungry. But she was hungry.More

After grinding away breakfast lunches and dinner for the family, day in and day out for 4 weeks straight we thought we give ourselves a treat and bring food in from one of our local favourites - the Taphouse. They have a really good Pizza...BOGO offer that we opted for, plus the DoorDash delivery option. Next time I’ll just pick up - faster and more affordable. Having said that, we got a couple margarita pizza’s which were a crowd favourite, plus a fennel sausage and an stinging bee. All excellent - I’d do take out again soon for sure.More
While the wife was in a shopping frenzy we decided to pop into the Taphouse for a beer. It was around 6 ish on a Friday so things were busy. There was a wait at reception for tables, but we managed to snag a couple...of seats at the bar. Perfect! The bar staff were helpful and friendly and kept us libated. It’s a busy spot and has seating outside if you are keen (probably nice in the summer). Plenty of drink options available with some nice local beers on tap. We ended up staying for dinner while watching a game on the screen (there are several). Food was also good and suited to that environment. A great spot to hang out if the Mrs hasn’t finished shopping!More
