We try and make a weekly visit to Rocky's for their home made fish and chips. The service is fast and friendly. We love checking out the live music and special events.

Super friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere & everything you'd expect to see on a pub menu. The special was a seared black cod, which was something I didn't expect on a pub menu & it was phenomenal! They also have a pet-friendly patio, which we'll be...trying out when the weather warms up. We recently moved just south of Bragg Creek & Rockies Tavern is our new place to chill on a Sunday afternoon.More
Came in for lunch. Was greeting right away and the server was super friendly. Love the decor but that’s where it ends. The food is not very good. Had the beef dip and it was room temperature, bread barely toasted. Fries were screaming hot and...full of grease. Found the place to be expensive for what u get. I could see this place busy on a weekend night as they have a stage for live bands.More
After first trying to go to the other saloon in the plaza, where we waited to get processed at the front door with two other groups along with a lineup of others outside, we left and went to Rockies. So glad we did. Not only...were we instantly greeted by a very kind fellow, we were promptly seated and served by a pleasant waitress. The place was well staffed and they genuinely seemed happy to be there. And to top it off they had live music, which was wonderful. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food but the beer was cold, and the vibe was happy and positive. Look forward to going back soon.More
A great place to eat, after a walk at Elbow Falls. The service was by far the most friendly and courteous I’ve experienced in a very long time, such a pleasant surprise. Today I ordered the mini yorkies,, absolutely to die for, and caesar salad...with home made croutons, real bacon, Parmesan cheese and an amazing dressing. The menu has a good selection of appetizers, entres, and burgers. To sum it up, outstanding service, and fabulous food!!!More
We stopped in for a beer on the patio on July 24th after doing some pedaling around town. My husband unfortunately was almost hit buy a car backing out quickly without looking in that same back alley, as my husband swerved to avoid being hit...he and his ebike went down hard. . The driver, bearded guy in red SUV, said oh man you took a tumble, but your skin will heal. 😡 anyway as soon as my husbands bleeding knee, arm, and ankle was brought to our waiters attention, he immediately came back with a first aid kit and was very helpful. His mother, owner of this restaurant, also came out to make sure my hubby was ok. We are so grateful at how helpful and concerned they were! Thank you again. The beer was cold, our nachos were excellent, and had we more time in the area we would have gone again for dinner. Small family run restaurant pulled out all the stops.More
It was our first time at Rockies Tavern for some food and drinks with friends. Have to say Awesome customer service and menu choices - we had their ribs, beef dip and fish and chips. Excellent. Go early on Friday if you want to sit...in the patio.More
Quaint pub atmosphere with a twist on pub food items such as elk burgers with gouda cheese and blueberry chutney. I don’t even like blueberries but this brought out the flavour of the burger immensely. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Bison burger. Both were unexpected...treats. The staff friendly and efficient. They were even able to accommodate a gluten free diet. The owner was very helpful advising how their burgers were made daily with no gluten. Gluten free buns are available. We were there the day before covid mandatory 4 week shut down. The atmosphere was still up beat and positive. Thank you for such a wonderful memory. We will be back.More
We drive from Calgary to Bragg Creek often and have been to Rockies several times. We consistently get wonderful service from all staff and have enjoyed everything we have eaten there as well as good drinks. The specials are great. The outdoor seating area is...beautiful surrounded by trees.More
We stopped in Bragg Creek for dinner after a hike at Fullerton Loop on Sunday. We originally went to the Powderhorn (yikes!) but after not being approached by staff for 15 minutes we left. We decided to try Rockies which is at the other end...of them all and we are so glad we did! Food was AMAZING... live band was awesome, service was awesome.. i would definitely go there again...More
Rockies Tavern support local musicians and they often have live bands on the weekends. Food is also decent for a tavern. Everyone is very friendly with good service!
We stopped off in Bragg Creek for some lunch and Rockies looked perfect for our family. The menu was varied but pricey, which is to be expected in a remote location such as this I suppose. However once the kids cheeseburgers were brought we we...knew we had made a bad decision coming here. They were cold, to the point that one was still frozen inside! This suggests to me that their meat is cooked in a microwave as that burger had gone nowhere near a griddle or pan. My chicken burger was ‘ok’ but my wive’s poutine was tasteless. We had our drinks taken off as an apology for the frozen burgers but even then the bill came to $70+ which absolutely was no where near worth it. Service was friendly but that doesn’t make up for a very poor meal overall.More
Ben and Emma have created a wonderful family oriented space for everyone to be together. I have always enjoyed the ambiance, the energy, and the food! Thank you for being a part of our community!
The food is all made fresh everyday, even the fries, excellent service and doggy friendly. My favourites are, steak sandwich, elk burger and pecan pie, all yummy!!
Stopped in to have a couple of cocktails on a sunny Thursday afternoon. We sat on the patio which was nice, but noticed that there was 4 or 5 children running around the outside and inside of the patio area, playing clapping games and making...all kinds of noise, totaling spoiling the Natural ambience. Is this a tavern or a restaraunt, make up my mind. We ordered a Caesar and a Long Island ice tea. The Ceaser was one of the worst I have ever had in my entire life and the Long Island ice tea was like drinking pop... We wouldn't recommend Rockies to our friends or family...cheersMore
