The cinnamon roll and strudel were not very good. We came here because of the reviews! They need to make better pastries!

We bought over $30, which wasn’t hard to do. Scones all have frosting on them. NOT my thing, but Hubby got 2 and said they were just ok. More like cake than typical scone. He also got the bison “sausage” cheesy bread, which was all...cheesy bread with a sliver of a bison sausage. He’d get the ham & cheese croissant over the sausage bread. I got 3 big cookies for $10. To my surprise, the best one was oatmeal walnut cranberry, then ginger molasses. I eventually threw out the chocolate chip cookie. The order of tastiness was the opposite of what I would have thought.More

Fresh tasty food. Haines is a tiny dot of a town so good food options are limited. Valley bakery offers fresh bread, breakfast wraps, croissants. Sweet and savoury options. Fresh bread, food to go,hot and cold drinks and a lovely patio to eat it on....They have events with food and music Friday and Saturdays during the summer. Book online.More

Friendly and helpful staff. Interesting building nestled off the main roads. Excellent sandwiches and muffins. Warm friendly atmosphere. There were 2 or 3 tables for eat-in meals and larger outdoor patio. Good coffee too. Prices reasonable for niche bakery. Will return before we leave Haines...Junction.More

We had breakfast here on 2 mornings and had takeaway pasta salad for lunch on another day. It’s a cute little place with good energy (was surprised to see the waitress who served us the night before in the pub, cheerfully serve us the following...morning in the bakery). We had egg and sausage muffins and the cinnamon buns. All very tasty and fresh. The pasta salad with pesto for lunch also very tasty and fairly priced. What a lovely place to visit for breakfast - an unexpected find in a very remote location. Thanks for the yummy food.More

We visited the bakery three times while we stayed in Haines Junction. Once for breakfast (the breakfast burritos are huge and delicious) and once for a snack (their baked goods rank up with the very best I've eaten). But the high point was Friday night...dinner with live music. Throughout the summer, they offer live music on Friday and Saturday nights. When we were there, they were offering a salmon bake (SO good), and the live music on the terrace was fantastic. It's one of my best memories from our trip! Whatever meal you go for, do NOT miss the Village Bakery and Deli and Haines Junction!More

In our 3 week trip around the Yukon, we ate all over the place. From fast food places to high end (as high end as the Yukon can get) restaurants. Most places where meh to…ok. And then we found this little bakery- which we thought...was a home at first. So glad we didn’t just drive on. This place has the most amazing and delicious baked goods we have EVER HAD. We went here so many times over our 3 day stay in Haines. We tried as many things as we could! From the bread, sandwiches, treats, drinks, everything was phenomenal! We can see why this bakery was packed every time we came! A must stop for anyone visiting or passing through Haines!More

Unexpected treat in a small town. Freshly baked pastries and bread. Great coffee. Comfortable ambience. Not to mention soups, salads, and sandwiches. A must visit place

Bustling local haunt serving good selection of homemade pastries and bread in a small town, rustic setting. Ganache brownie and breakfast sandwich were as good as a big city fancy deli.

A little pricey by my standards but a good experience nonetheless. They have lots of options that all look really good and friendly staff. We had the sourdough bread which I liked.

Went for the Saturday dinner and had some breakfast the next day. Dinner was what you would expect, family style, big portions, decent food. Breakfast was so-so... We had breakfast croissants that were microwaved and had no taste. We also had nutella pie that was...good. Staff is friendly and overall it's a nice place to stop by and have a bite and a chill on the patio.More
