This is a busy place so time your visit well and expect wait times for seating during peak times. Make sure you speak to someone at the front and put your name on the list. If someone hadn't tipped us off to this we would still be in line. We went there for Lunch one day and Breakfast the next and the food was well prepared and very tasty. Service was friendly and courteous, however as I mentioned wait staff is quite busy at times so if you're used to something super fast and attentive, this might not be the place for you. However I would recommend it if you have the time. I will go again.

This place only does breakfasts and lunch to 2:00PM. You snooze you lose because they have a wide range of local variations on the traditional breakfast. Breakfast Scramblers and Eggs Benny on smoked salmon are to kill for. Service with a smile on a nice covered outdoor patio.

We were able to sit outside as it was a beautiful day. The service was great. We each had fish and chips. Yummy though the chips were lightly battered which I thought a little odd. Also when I asked if there was wine available (I did not see any on the menu), I was advise they do not have wine. What Bistro does not have wine? Even a house red and white would be acceptable. They do have beer and hard liquor so that tells me they are licensed. Reasonable prices.

We had a great lunch at The Blue Room . My husbands fish and chips were the best - light tasty lemony batter , fresh thick moist cod and delicious large fries . I had the seafood clubhouse with their own smoked salmon . Our waitress was very attentive as well . We would definitely go back !

The Blue Room, on Ucluelet’s main commercial road, Peninsula, is popular with locals & finds much favour too with visitors, who come to this spectacular ocean village on Canada’s Wild West coast.
It is so popular that this charming spot, which specialized in offering a large breakfast selection, has line ups some days.
It also serves a fairly wide range of other dishes for lunch & snacks.
It is fairly small, with both inside & outside seating, & guests are able to brings dogs, if seated outside, a big plus for residents of Ukee — as it is known by locals — as a good many have dogs.
It is very family friendly, indeed, friendly all round, giving welcoming & good service.
It has an extensive & interesting menu, with options for vegetarians & vegans & others with dietary restrictions.
It has a kids menu, which has on it grilled cheese & fries at 10$, a kids favourite.
It is open 8am to 3 pm from Thursday to Monday & closed on Tuesdays & Wednesday.
People return again & again, be they locals or those who come again & again to visit this stunning ocean village, often to surf, as it is the surfing spot in Canada, & a place which offers great nature trails, beaches, & an array of excellent eateries of which The Blue Room is one.

Meat and eggs was cooked to order and we had great service by Aliesha. Lovely and friendly lady who was very conscientious. The only thing that I would suggest is that they warm the plates to keep the breakfast warm longer. Otherwise, all was great and I will be returning.

During our 2 weeks on Vancouver island we ate at many different restaurants and finally enjoyed a good delicious breakfast! We love a good breakfast especially for a decent price. This is definitely the place to go! We were disappointed when we found out they were closed Wednesday and Thursdays especially after finding a great place to eat.
Everything was delicious, and priced perfectly.

This place doesn't need any more promotion, it's busy enough as it is but I'm willing to wait again. We went there two days in a row during our stay in Ucluelet. I felt great after eating at this cozy restaurant. The food tastes good and our server (the lady wearing glasses) made us feel very welcomed. I feel more welcomed here than at the expensive restaurants in town. I had pancakes the second day, and when I got home, I was inspired to make my own fluffy pancakes! Thanks you guys! I appreciate your hospitality. Much love.

We went here for breakfast/ lunch. The service was first rate. I had the breakfast special sandwich - scrambled eggs, bacon, chipotle mayo on a brioche bun. OMG ! So good ! And the breakfast potatoes were to die for. My husband had the chicken and brie sandwich and gave it an 11. You have to order a ceasar just for the candied bacon. You gotta eat here !

While we had to wait a while to get an indoor table, it turned out to be well worth it! The food at this little bistro was great. We had the Salmon Benny and the Chicken with Brie sandwich. Both were terrific. It was great to see the restaurant's focus on locally sourced ingredients.

Great sit down breakfast , eggs where exceptional, bacon good and potatoes delicious. Usually one of this breakfast pillars is lacking ( hash greasy, bacon low quality or eggs with factory farm flavour) not here. The coffee, however , was weak. Oh well , can’t have it all.

10 out 10 excellent service and food! Arrived a bit before 8:00 am opening and they only roof 3 groups of people at a time. Spaced tables out. Felt safe in covid times.
I wish the best for this great restaurant, they were following rules and serving up delicious food.

Unreal food. So good. Kids had a burger and the chicken ranch wrap, never heard them compliment food so much. Wife had burger with amazing deep fried pickles. I had the build your own scramble except with 3 poached eggs instead of scrambled, with sausage and mushrooms and onions and tomatoes and hollandaise. All over hash browns. In frigging real.

We had breakfast here twice when we stayed in Ucluelet! The first morning we were there right at 8:00 and got in right away. The next morning we were there around 9:00-9:30, and we did have to wait, seating is limited, but it’s worth it! The salmon eggs benny is amazing! They also have excellent hashbrowns. Indoor or outdoor seating available. The coffee is also really good! Friendly staff!

Great food, nice clean restaurant with the absolute worst service we received during our 13 day vacation in BC. The waitress was very unfriendly towards me after I asked if she was from Quebec (as I am too) everyone at the table noticed. When it came time to pay she interrupted my conversation with another guest and thrust the visa machine in my face., which I have to hand back to her to access my wallet.
