Really good pizza. However, we arrived at 8pm and were told it was a 1h45 wait, which was fine, we had been told this was likely. We were told to come back at 9:45pm but there may still be a small wait. We returned at...9:40pm, our pizzas were ready and stone cold, they had clearly been ready for quite some time. They were very tasty but it’s not ideal to pay $52 for pizza that is stone cold and needs reheating. No apology, and a request for a tip! So, tasty pizza but service leaves a lot to be desired. I’d return but wait in store and don’t rely on their advice of what time to return as there is no control over times at all. When we arrived a couple just leaving had waited 3h despite being told it would be 1h30 when they ordered.More

Heard good things about this pizzeria. And they are definitely true. Salads were exceptionally fresh and tasty. Our pizza was to die for. Two thumbs way up.

Phone at 5pm to order later the lady told me to wait otherwise it will be cold if I order now. Phone later at 5:45pm they told me they were close. Very poor! Don’t count on them in January last year they were close even...though on the door of the restaurant they were supposed to be open. Very poor client service.More

The magical Abbondanza pizzeria in the ocean village of Ucluelet, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, makes some of the best pizza I have tasted in my many decades of eating pizza in the places well- known for producing the best. Many of the...cites & villages in Italy of course, & NYC of course are included here. How wonderful to find Abbondanza over a decade ago in the place my pizza -loving live. All of the pizzas ordered from Abbondanza have been truly delicious. And the crust is perfect. It also is a member eatery of the west coast farm-to-table guild — Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild (TUCG). It is an inspiring non-profit, which is an initiative of some of the restaurateurs & eateries in the region committed to farm-to-table practices, with its important link to healthier eating, healthier communities & healthier relations between producers, eateries & consumers. As my granddaughter plans a 14th birthday once high school ends this week, with pizza on the menu for this joyous event, I have been looking at Abbondanza’s menu, selecting from its tasty offerings. Abbondanza is certainly the place. Posted by S FullerMore

Usually when one is looking forward to pizza in another city or town, it is for pizza in Rome, Sardinia, Naples or possibly NYC. I was delighted to travel to Ucluelet on Canada’s Vancouver Island for many reasons but also because it has one of...the best pizzeria on the planet. It is closed Mondays; open on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 10 pm; Wednesday from 11:30 to 5pm. On Thursday it is closed & then open Friday to Sunday 4:30 to 10 pm. Keep those times on hand as one does not want to miss having pizza at Abbondanza. Posted by S FullerMore

not a fancy place but the food is amazing. we had the meatball pizza and the seasoning was *almost* perfect (just needed some SPICE) but I recognize that's an individual taste so can't knock them for it. Will definitely be back next time we're out...that way.More

Really good wood oven pizza with a standard/medium crust. They were really busy, but prompt and friendly. It was actually refreshing to find such a well run business (many others are still understaffed due to the pandemic).

We arrived in Ucluelet around 9 pm and by the time we'd unpacked into our accommodation and were ready to find some takeout for a late dinner, there was only a couple places still open. The experience at Abbondanza exceeded expectations, from the moment someone...answered the phone to take our order, to the pick up to eating, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend.More

I’ve had a lot of pizza in my life and this is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! If you like wood burning pizza, you’ll love this pizza! We got the Diavola & the Pepperoni pizza and both were excellent!

Abbondanza translates in English into abundance and plenty. The name of this wonderful pizzeria on the Wild West coast of Vancouver Island, in the ocean village of Ucluelet, which makes its pizza following the best of Italian traditions, says it al. The smells and delicious...pizzas which come out of its ovens are brimming with inviting aromas and flavors. Both locals and travels from afar are drawn to this pizza Mecca, which stands like the town’s lighthouse, but in this case to welcome food lovers seeking great pizza, rather than the lighthouse built to warn ships to steer clear of rocks or other dangers on land. There are no dangers here; just culinary delights. One cannot go wrong, no matter one’s pizza selection. All are sublime. It is currently serving only take out, and only accepts cash. Whether you pick up a pizza to share as a couple with a bottle of wine over this romantic time, or buy a few to share with family and friends, a feeling of Abbondanza will wash over you. We are still dreaming of the pizzas at Abbondanza and they are definitely worth the wait. As we finished our hike of the Wild Pacific Trail, we called in an order at 17:45 and were told it was a 1.5 hour wait...and it was worth...it! Their dough which turns into crispy and tasty crust is to die for and their toppings are good quality too... their topping combos are unique and delicious. They were takeout only this summer so we took our pizza back to the Black Rock Ocean Resort where we were staying and reheated it in the convection oven but we also recommend bringing your pizza to the beach to enjoy, with some beer from Ucluelet Brewing!More

My friend and I always have pizza at least one night when on holidays. We spent 3 nights in Ucluelet and decided to try the Margarita pizza the first night. It was so delicious, we had it 3 nights in a row! The authentic, chewy...crust, homemade sauce and fresh, quality mozzarella baked to perfection was the best we’d ever tasted. Great value. Order early unless you don’t mind an hour+ wait.More
