We , like MANY people, had a lot of trouble getting restaurant reservations in PEC. the 2nd week of September. Many restaurants closed early in the week & others were fully booked with waiting lists.
The night we ate at 555, we had been trying to find ANY restaurant to have dinner fir 2plus hours. 555 fed us & many other hungry tourists that evening.

We visit Picton every year to camp, and this is always our restaurant of choice, as the pizza is very good. Our complaint is the fact that we were told it was an hour wait, so we advised the girl (ot sure of her name), our phone number and name we never ever got a call back after the hour or at all. I think in this instance the least that could have been done was a call back saying "sorry,, we are unable to accommodate you tonight!" This is not very good customer service, but the pizza is terrific and we did dine here for lunch on July 26, our server was fantastic and the pizza was amazing!

As other people have noted, it can be difficult to get a reservation in Picton in the fall. We arrived in time for lunch and noticed a lineup. We were seated promptly and ordered beers, Mine was not to my liking but that is obviously a personal choice. My wife wanted a glass of chardonnay which she was advised was not available. We each ordered pizzas, which were ok, but we were spoiled by a brew pub in Wellington which had phenomenal food. Overall i would recommend this restaurant.

Was recommended to this restaurant by one of their competitors who were full at the time. Good location but hidden from the street. Out door only and staff were not the best. Our server seemed to not worry about your needs. hamburger without tomato or onion just doesn't cut it, particularly when tomato and onion are with other selection on their menu. Question is," would you go back" and the answer is a resounding no, but their beer is OK.

Be sure to ask the hostess/server to read your phone number back to you when it is recorded for the waiting list. After 35 minutes of walking around downtown Picton we returned to the patio to check on how the reservation list was progressing. The hostess abruptly told us, "Hey fellas, I call you...that's how it works. You can't wait around here." I called and spoke to the manager after an hour and a half to investigate why we had not received a phone call from 555. In the end, the hostess had copied our phone number incorrectly. The manager was an attentive listener and offered compensation but we did not feel comfortable dealing with the hostess/server. I empathize with hard working servers during this time but the hostess could have perhaps discovered her transposition error during the time we checked in on the waiting list. We drove to Midtown Brewery in Wellington to move on from this frustrating let down in Picton.

We went on a Wednesday evening and waited over an hour for our pizzas because the order apparently “didn’t get put through”. A piece of paper to the kitchen - how hard can that be? When the pizzas arrived they were quite nice, but the crusts were burnt (as were everyone else’s, so maybe that’s their thing). So, in summary, if you like your pizzas burnt and your service really really poor, then come here. Otherwise, don’t bother.

Very disappointed that we added our name to the wait list and were told they’d call in 30 mins. After 40 mins we came back and stood out front (noticing several empty tables). The hostess was clearly avoiding coming out to speak to those waiting. When we were finally able to speak to her again she told us the kitchen was closing in 4 mins (it was before 9 pm!!!) and we wouldn’t be seated. Could have told us that from the outset. What a waste of time. So poorly managed and disappointing. Also shocking that in a busy town on a Friday night a brewery closes at 9 pm.

Great servers, great pizza and good selection of beer on tap. They have done a wonderful job with social distancing of their outdoor patio. The servers were helpful and friendly. We each had a different pizza, all were good, and we had leftovers to take home!
If you like your pizza crispy, I recommend asking for it to be ‘well done’

Pizza was great but the service was non existent. I understand that things are different during this covid crisis but all the waiters do is bring your food and drink to the table. You go up and place your order and you bus your own table! It was more of a cafeteria experience and prices do not reflect the service. I won't be returning.

Thanks for your review. We have limitations on the service that we provide currently as we are in a pandemic. Just like your main concern was yourself and your experience on our patio - our main concern is our staff and their wellbeing and health. Regardless of the increased effort that we are going to, to protect staff and customers, our prices are reasonable and doesn't include the cleaning products, litres of hand sanitizer, shields and masks that small businesses have to absorb. Our experience was a little different last summer - but then again, we weren't in a pandemic. Have a nice day.

555 was recommended by a friend and are we ever glad he did. The beers were very good quality and the wood fired pizza are well worth the stop. Come hungry so you can try one of these well prepared pizzas. The staff are super friendly and inviting. We spent a few days in the area and this is definitely the best meal we had with some of the best crafts beers I have tried. We will be back for sure. .

Just been to this place which is nice for the truth.
Bad service, customer service and dubious food quality.
Me, my partner and our one and a half year old daughter arrived at this place at 7pm on Saturday
We ordered at 19.15 a pizza for our baby and two wraps for us
At 8 pm we asked what happened to our Reservation, mostly for our little girl who in the meantime teased lwr olives we had ordered and crackers we had.
We asked three times and the Response was always "in preparation" or "in cooking". Meanwhile our dishes arrived cold frozen.
We refused to eat and came away, meanwhile the pizza had arrived (1 hour and a half after ordering.
Really embarrassing.
P.S.: the real smell, come to Italy to eat it. Better

My husband and I stopped in to share a pizza and Caesar Salad outside on the patio and we’re pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. The pizza (#2) had a beautiful thin crispy crust and the tomato sauce was very tasty and not at all salty - found out they make it on-site with fresh tomatoes and herbs. The pizza arrived at the table piping hot.. The Caesar salad was plentiful and crunchy and had just the right amount of a very flavourful dressing. Would highly recommend.

We had delicious pizza and tried some great beers here. Friendly staff and great service. We chose to eat indoors as it was an extremely hot day, but would love to come back to enjoy the patio. I've already been back to buy more of their Blueberry Peach sour! Love the LGTBQ friendly vibe and hilarious gender neutral washroom signs.

Six of us elderly gents met for our monthly lunch. The weather was conducive to patio seating and we all thoroughly enjoyed the great food and the pub's home brew.

went there on a sunday evening of a long weekend. patio was busy.
ordered the cider and a lager and they were both flat (no fizz) and very mildly tasting. ordered a pizza and it came raw on the bottom and burned on top. they specialize in pizza and beer and they both fail. props to the manager for taking care of the bill.
