We had an excellent meal. The food was spectacular! Every dish has fresh interesting combinations of flavours. Each couple ordered 3 tapas & one larger plate to share. This was ample. The service was very good. We had to change out on glass of rose...& it was handled professionally.More

We visited Bocado for a birthday celebration and we could not have been happier with our choice. Everything about our evening out was incredible. Gillian, our server, made sure we were well oriented to the menu. With tapas style dishes, it can sometimes be difficult...to know how much to order. Gillian made great suggestions and helped us to choose when we torn between dishes. The portions were perfect and the dinner well paced (even though they were extremely busy--we did NOT feel rushed). Each and every bite of each every dish surpassed all expectations. We highly reccommend the Pan Con Anchovy and the Tatare De Carne (beef tartare) was heavenly. The Paella was the best we've had since we were in Spain. Thanks to Gillian and the staff at Bocado for a great night!More

Our initial experience at the restaurant was not stellar. When the hostess seated us, she quite pointedly told us that the table was needed for a reservation at 8:30pm. We were seated a few minutes before 7:00pm Setting that tone as soon as we sat...down in such a negative way left an immediate bad taste in my mouth. We were about to get up and go across the street to the restaurant at The Royal Hotel that had a very lively and happening scene. But our waiter came by just as we began to get up from the table. My husband told the waiter what the hostess said. He apologized and told the general manager who then came and apologized to us. They pulled it out of the fire but only because we told them about it. I wasn’t going to mention this but I saw another review from another customer who experienced the exact same thing. So hopefully this will help the restaurant refrain from telling their customers that they need to hurry up and eat so they can turn the table over. That is essentially the message from the hostess. With that out of the way, the food was absolutely delicious and our waiter, Kelly was top-notch. Our cocktails were also perfect! The initial experience with the hostess colored our evening despite the apologies, delicious food, and perfect cocktails. We will visit the area again but will try many of the other highly recommended restaurants before coming back.More

I agree with most of the reviews- food and service excellent. The paella was the weakest dish-overpriced and rice was dry. The tapas were exceptional and beautifully served. The table service was excellent and each dish described well. The wine is shockingly overpriced but that...seems to be the way of things these days. We did not appreciate being told pointedly when we arrived that we needed to leave our table by 8:15. It is the restaurant‘s responsibility to ensure reservations are adequately spaced out and the food is served promptly. As it turned out, we had ample time and the comment was the only sour note to the evening.More

Very special restaurant. Great service and atmosphere. Attentive but not overly so. Judged the pace of the service perfectly. Every dish was delicious. Amongst the best tapas I've ever had. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience we had at Bocado. Such an eclectic selection to satisfy any palate. We stuck to Tapas and the waitress helped us navigate the menu and we ended up ordering the exact right amount. Interesting selection of wines as well. Bravo....The service was extraordinary. When our food was served the waiters all knew the details of it while they presented it to us. Full on 5 as an experience.More

Nice decor, attentive and friendly servers but the paella ( which was grossly overpriced for the quality of the ingredients ) tasted like the rice was cooked in a salt brine. Told the server but he seemed unconcerned. Unfortunately, I ate the paella, when arriving...home had to drink 3 glasses of water and then felt ill for the next 2 days and had the lingering taste of salt in my mouth. Very disappointedMore

We were at a clothing store and ran into a chef from out of town who recommended that we come here for 'the best dining experience in town' and boy was she right. The service was amazing, our server was very helpful with the menu...and suggestions. We had several tapas that were to die for. We're foodies and were so impressed and grateful for the recommendation. If you're in downtown Picton and love good food and service, this is the place to be.More

My sister recommended we try this because she really enjoyed it when she visited PEC and it did not disappoint! I had read the menu before going but was still very confused when we got there. The waitress was very nice to help us figure...out what to order. We loved everything we ordered : - Pan Con Tomate (tomate paste on sourdough bread) which we ordered a total of 3 orders because it was so yummy - Pan Con Anchovy - Jamon Iberico (slice cured meat) - Pulpo (ocotpus) - Atun (tuna) which I have tried somewhere else and this was superb!!! - Paella de Setas (mushroom) - beer Estrella lager It was just enough for us 4 (we're small eaters). I would definitely go back to try other tapas and paella.More
