My wife and I were looking forward to having lunch here while sightseeing on Deer Island. We were very disappointed to find that it was closed. We were there toward the end of Sept. but we had hoped it would be open through the end of the month. The proprietor of the little store down the road seemed surprised that... More

Although its website says it is open until 8pm, in September you'd better arrive by 6pm for the only meal in town. The fried haddock is fresh but the batter is dark. The prices are amazing and the choice of beer, wine and "shots" satisfies weary travellers. The proprietor is obliging if overworked.

The tables and chairs and menus were STICKY. Gross. Gross. Gross. It was NOT clean in the restaurant. Not at all. Should have been the 1st clue. The food was awful. The nerve they have to charge $17 for a lobster roll that had 3 tiny pieces of lobster in it with lots of mayo squirted on top to hide... More

A group of five of us went here and had A variety of seafood. The clams are really delicious and the Haddock fish is good Too. We didn't have room for dessert this time homemade pies are delicious as well. This truly is a great little gem on the island.

We had been to this restaurant a couple years ago, and loved it. So we planned our travels to stop there again... big mistake! We walked in. A lady behind the counter looked at us and went back to whatever she was doing. Nobody acknowledged our presence. We stood there, and waited, and continued to be ignored. We walked up... More

I've swung by the 45th Parallel before, as in the past they had Herman, Deer Island's biggest lobster. Unfortunately, today's lobster prices have ended that tradition :( But this time, we did enjoy fish n' chips and they were excellent. Great down home cooking. Even allowed the three of us (my sister, friend and myself) to share a 3 piece... More

The food was great but since we were about a week ahead of tourist season they didn't have a couple of the seafood items. My husband said that the fried clams were some of the best he has ever had. And I say if you don't like seafood they have other options. I had Lasagna. It was great. Prices were... More

We spent a night camping on Deer Island and this was the only eat-in restaurant there. We chose the lobster rolls and were not disappointed.

This establishment is run by two sisters who remember me and my elderly father from year to year. We both look forward to the lobster roll and caesar salad special.
