The Landing has been sold and is currently closed. Numerous rumours flying around on what the future holds for this business.

This is a basic no frills boozer with food to match. Years ago the food and atmosphere made it one of the better places to go on a Saturday night. Sadly, those days are long gone and for good reason. Hardly a first date venue...but an available pint if you're waiting for the ferryMore

The Quadra Island ferry broke down and so to pass some time we went to the pub. Most of the furnishings are in need of replacement, including the floor. There was no heat so we had to sit with our coats on. We ordered wine...which was okay, understandably only the choice of red or white no selection. Some of the locals were swearing and carrying on in a drunken stupor so much so that the bar keep came and apologized to us after they left. We ended up having to go back there for dinner as there was really nowhere still open in the vacinity at 6pm. The food was surprisingly good and without the locals the atmosphere was better. But there was still no heat so we had to keep our coats on again.More

Friendly staff. It was a quiet Sunday fall afternoon while waiting for the ferry. Met the owner and had a nice conversation. I will return.

Most small- town pubs are about the same: clean, slightly tired furniture, limited choices for draft beer, very limited wine list, average food. The variation comes in the wait staff and the size of the menu. And maybe the restrooms. This place stands up pretty...well. Venue, decor, menu, all average. Restrooms better than average. Waitress way better, but we were the only five in the room. Food better than average, especially the special, which was 'buy fish and chips and get a second one for half price'. Now, THAT"S a special, and my wife and I had it. Very good. The three others said their choices were good, so I think you're safe with anything. Several good beers on tap. Forget the wine list.More

Surprisingly tasty veg burger and fries. Simple but yummy. Fast service as it was not busy. A man asked where we were in the ferry line and put our meals into to-go boxes. Just in case. Pleasant staff and great spot, especially when stuck in...the ferry line! Would return for sure.More

I had been to this pub many years before with a group of people and I remember it being much better. This time we had fish and chips for lunch and the fish itself was good (Cod), but the batter was plain and not cooked...through (too think and doughy). We sat outside as it was a nice day, but another couple on the deck were smoking (which I didn't think was even legal), the waitress was nice, but didn't say anything to those that were smoking. The place looks and feels tired. Probably a good hangout for the local though.More

We were looking for a place on the water to enjoy a seafood dinner and this fit the bill. The cod and fries were enjoyed by all three of us.

I have visited the Landing Pub many times over the years. They have an interesting menu and vary it up on occasion. The staff are very pleasant and always greet you with a smile. Unfortunately the owner is slow to spruce the place up or...expand and reluctant to bring in decent entertainment on a regular basis. This could be a sweet spot to hang out with a little renovation and entertainment boost to bring in customers.More

Very busy when we were there but nothing was too much trouble. We both had the fish and chips which were great. Hostess was very friendly and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. Old style chairs and tables, no frills. We did love the...puppy play pen outside. A great idea. We ate here as there was no restaurant at Whiskey Point and this is the closest place with food.More

Food was very average and not much choice, they managed to get our order wrong first night and second night we had the fish and chips which was average o say the least,Unfortunately there is not where else locally to eat so they have a captive...audience if you are stopping nearby, otherwise it is a 15 min car drive to Heriots bay inn to get a decent meal.More

Located right at the ferry port the Landing is a great place. Very traditional lots of wood, good beer and loads of banter from the barman. I had a burger, my wife had fish and chips, all freshly prepared. I really liked the atmosphere here...and could have stopped longer, but it would have been to far to crawl back to our appartment!!More

Highly recommend this quaint pub conveniently located beside the ferry terminal. What a delightful, relaxing atmosphere with great staff and food. Friendly atmosphere to hang outside in season or shoot a game of pool off season. Don't hesitate to check it out and soak in...the ambience of this wonderful, laid back island.More
