What a treat to find this restaurant on this Gulf Island! A big city experience of locally foraged and farm sourced plates of delicious food. We never thought that we would find anything other than comfort food when we moved here 2 years ago. Now...it is a regular choice for us to go and discover inspired dishes sized just right so we can go on tasting new experiences. Always a vegetarian option. Wine and most of the spirits are local too. This restaurant even has its own beer (bottled or on tap) that is brewed only a half mile away. Our favorite dishes include lamb and the daily perfectly cooked fish dishes. We love their soups with greens bases. Our son always closes the evening with a Nocino. And, if I do say so myself, the Poncia Martini is the best martini around (we order it every time).More

We took our 2 friends to have dinner in this restaurant. Chef's Menu (4 or 5 courses) was chosen for all of us plus 2 bottles of Wine. The taste of the meal was average, but we could see that chef try to be creative...for the presentation. However, the service was so disappointing. When we required to change the plate, the waitress refused to do so and mentioned that next course will be the same flavor base. After the second course, the plates were changed. But she insisted again we keep our cutleries. The total bill is not cheap for what it was (CAD 411.60). But 18% tip was recommended. Seriously? Yes, waitress was friendly enough, but so lazy that she did not want or just refuse to change the plate and cutleries. Plus, it was not busy as all, we were the only table inside, plus a table of 2 guests outside. But waitress and chef spent so much time to chat with those 2 guests (probably their friends), that we had to wait for our dishes between the courses while the restaurant was empty. So, stay away from this restaurant!More
