We really enjoyed the food here and the portions were filling! The ambiance is like eating at grandmas house and the wait staff is polite and welcoming. Definitely worth the visit.

The food was okay for what it was. However, it took one hour to receive our food when the restaurant was not busy, and my youngest, who had a Hot Dog and fries, received his food last. Slow service by any standard and a music...playlist of four songs on a loop made for a less than average dining experience.More

This restaurant was recommended by the manager of the Air bnb at which we stayed. Very much a local hangout. We were the only foreigners there. We had trouble understanding the waitress and she had trouble understanding us but we managed. I had a broiled...children with French fries. The portions were huge. The food tasted good. We had a variety of the local white wine. Very good. Nice place to go, not expensive and we experienced a little local flavor.More

This restaurant was by far a place you felt like you were eating in a living museum. The aroma wafting from the kitchen just called us in. Featured items to eat are written on small chalk boards on each table. The walls are adorned with...many antiques from past sands of time. Some brought memories to our past and brought smiles and stories alive. The kuchen we had was piping hot. It was a onion ham kuchen. You could tell a lot of pride went into making this dish. Friendly server and pleasant experience. One block off the KD boat launch area.More

Stopped overnight in St Goarshausen, not at this hotel though, and slipped in at this restaurant after a hard walk up and down Lorelei. Sat outside, a bit noisy at times due to trains but nice. Food was excellent and plentiful. Nice local touch. Wines...were really good and at really bargain prices by the glass.More

Went twice and both were unsatisfied due to the service or lack of communication or lack of interest to tourists. Wish to have better approached and have a reason to go there again and again. Hopefully they improve. We saw that their approach to locals...were different, feel sorry for that.More

We visited this restaurant/pub just for a drink after seeing the dog bar outside. (including my mother of 86 years). Inside it looks like a museum my mother recognised most of the objects. Many practical jokes can be found in the interior (started outside with...the dog bar). I'm sure we'll be back on this spot with other friends. You've to see it to believe it. Very kind waiters helping you to make the right choice. Louis & FamilyMore

Very quaint place. Furniture and decorations was a mix of everything odd and old. Lots of people both in the restaurant and bar the night we came. Good food, BIG portions and OK restaurant service. But I would not recommend to stay overnight as there...can be music, singing and shouting long into the night (after official closing time), in our case it got quiet at 3 am! The rooms also feel very peculiar, all styles thrown together all at the same time. To get to the rooms you go through the bar and inner/backyard which wasn't very tidy. Our room also had an shared entry door to another room which we weren't told or obvious. To sum it up, OK place for a meal or drink, wouldn't recommend it for an overnight stay.More

We stopped here for lunch while driving from Kloster Eberbach to Koblenz. It had been a rather circuitous route because sections of the road along the river were closed for roadworks. I chose the goulash. It was very good, packed with flavour. My wife chose...the schnitzel and said it was one of the best she had eaten. Service was prompt and the waiter very friendly. The restaurant was decorated with memorabilia and was very clean, as were the toilets. There were some nice views of the river to enjoy before we continued our journey.More
