Reviewed yesterday NEW

Zios is now La Dolce Vita. Having visited the "new" restaurant twice, we were delighted both by the food and the service. It also struck us that the prices are also a bit lower. On both occasions, the pasta was at the level at least of Prima Fila, the best Italian in town, and the service is attentive, friendly and... More

We hadn't been to Zio's for over five years, having had a couple of mixed experiences. We decided to give the newly launched La Dolce Vita a chance as we fancied having a dinner in Walton that wasn't at a restaurant chain. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, freshly cooked ingredients and well presented together... More

We went on Saturday 8th April to try what is now called La Dolce Vita Restaurant. I chose from the "Specials" menu, Pasta filled with Ragu with Parmesan shavings and Rocket and my husband had Chicken wrapped in parma ham filled with cheese, vege and potatoes. Starters were Olives with bread olive oil and balsamic vinegar and Brushetta. The olive... More

This restaurant is now called La Dolce Vita, not Zio's. Although the new owners took over from their dad and renamed it. In my view the food is better than before. We went there as a family (7 adults) on a Sunday. We all took the salad buffet which has a smaller selection than before but it was good. I... More

We waited for some time at the door to be acknowledged and shown to a table, even though the restaurant was fairly empty. We waited 10 minutes to be given a menu. We waited another 10 minutes for a drinks order to be taken, and longer again for the food order to be taken. Difficult to attract attention, at one... More

My family of 6 adults visited last Friday evening. The service was very good with just the right amount of time between courses. The waiters were friendly but not overbearing and all the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We all said we hoped to visit again soon.

We arrived about 8 on Wednesday evening - not busy - and were shown straight away to a table but then after about 15 minutes realised that nobody had given us a menu or asked us for our drinks. We had to try and catch the waiter's eye and he rather reluctantly shoved the menu on the table. I have... More

Very disappointing. We waited at the door for a good 5 minutes before anyone bothered to show us to a table. No friendly greeting. Then waited 10 mins to be offered drinks (the place was empty). The atmosphere was drab and dreary. There were 4 of us - 3 of us ordered asparagus starters and one of us ordered garlic... More

My family have been going to Zio's & now La Dolce Vita for over 15years. Whilst the food can always be relied upon to be delicious, and good value for money. The excellent customer service and friendly staff keep us coming back again and again. Even on a busy night the chef and manager always stop by the tables to... More
