Outside the Waterton National Park, we had rented RV camp park for 4 days during the last week of August '16. We had read about 'Prince of Wales Hotel' being a tourist attraction located on a hill facing the Waterton Lake. The hotel happens to be a grand survivor from the construction days of Canadian Railway sometime in 1928. With... More

My wife and I drove up from Glacier for a few hours on a rainy chilly day and decided to eat lunch here. The food was pretty good, service was on the slow side, which I've experienced in Canada numerous times, but the view out the windows facing the lake make it a worthwhile visit at least once. I've always... More

Reservations are recommended. We sat at 5:15PM because we waited until the day of our visit to make reservations. Review of Dinner (Breakfast review is the last paragraph of this report.) I had an excellent steak dinner. It was large, tender, and accompanied by a delicious sauce. My companion had to help me finish it. The trout was not very... More

The place has a well worn look, the carpets in the lobby have stretched and need attention, the washrooms are old and stuffy. Our lunch sandwhiches were average for the price, our server was courteous but not particularly attentive. Then there is the view. It's wonderful, and the hotel setting is completely unique. Look in one direction at the Alberta... More

We had a nice window table for lunch at the PRINCE OF Wales hotel. Service was a little slow, but the view made it worthwhile. Fish and chips was very good. Room is a little noisy with all the conversations going on. Prices were reasonable considering where we were.

The Royal Stewart Dining Room calls back a time that the Price of Wales Hotel emulates about the elegant dining of the early 1900s. The view from the dinning room is staggering, and when our waitress apologized for the wait about our order, we just said let it take longer. The view is of the lake from the dinning room... More

We arrived for a 6pm reservation at 5:56pm according to my phone. No one waiting to be seated, lots of tables available. They refused to seat us - said our reservation was for 6 pm and and they would seat us at 6pm. I asked "are you serious? That is 4 minutes away". Hostess repeated "we will seat you at... More

Stopped for lunch on our 4th day of a 5 day motorcycle trip. Beautiful view and excellent food. Very good service too. Throughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to stopping here again.

The view from this restaurant is amazing. The food is just as good, with the 8oz New York strip being closer to 12 oz. the potato leek soup is also something that has to be experienced.
