A great place to enjoy authentic Thai food. The service is great and they even serve Thai beer. The food they serve look just like the pictures on the menu and is delishus. We like to go there a least once a month.

I have never had better Thai food, and I eat it a lot. It was even better than my local, much loved Sabai Thai in Sidney!
We ate at Thaidal Zone (love the name!) yesterday on a visit to my old home town. Four of us had the mixed seafood special. They make the dishes individually, so they don’t all come out at the same time, but not slow. Every ingredient was perfectly done. Each vegetable had just the right crunch. Each of the MANY fresh (clearly not frozen) seafoods was done to perfection. And the sauce!! Incredible!! I ordered mild and it had just the right bit of heat, with a taste that lingered. I didn’t want to spoil it by i.e. eating a piece of chocolate for dessert. I could not eat it all and brought the rest home to enjoy for lunch.
I highly recommend eating at Thaidal Zone when in Powell River!

After the "race" from the mainland along "Raceway 101" eg Highway 101 / Sunshine Coast Highway, Thaidal Zone could not have been a better ending to a very long trip for me, coming in from the Southern Interior of BC. With eyes even bigger than my hungry stomach, I ordered a Thai staple, Pad Thai (w/ chicken), along with a fresh shrimp salad roll. Whew - that was a lotta food for one sitting but it def hit the spot. Pad thai (w/chicken): perfect "wok hey" (Cantonese term, literally translated to "breath of the wok") and fresh veggies, prepped to order and fresh as can be, noodles were spot on, not mushy or too sticky, just chewy and bouncy enough, not too salty either, chicken was smooth and not overcooked or dry - just juicy and delish; shrimp/prawn salad roll: fresh-fresh-fresh....did I mention it was freshly made!? Good crunch from the greens and nice bounce in the shrimp, peanut sauce was average-to-good, as I'm used to the sauce being a bit thicker (my own personal taste, as I have buddies who like it waaay too liquidy too). Food was so good here on day one of my week long work trip, that before leaving for the mainland, had to have lunch here once more and had the Pad See Iew and same thing - fresh veggies, egg cooked to perfection and noodles were delish once again. Great consistency in quality!! FYI - I think I might have a problem w/ noodle consumption?! Eh?! LOL! Come by and enjoy some great food and friendly service at Thaidal Zone! I know I'll be back next time I'm even close to the area!

I would have rated this place 0 stars if I could. We were told an hour and 15min wait, we showed up at that time, and were told they hadn't started our order yet and it would be another 20 minutes. Not sure why they couldn't have called to tell us that before we got there, they didn't seem like they had any idea what was going on, and they were not even friendly, and didn't even apologize. We asked if we'd get a discount on the food if we were having to wait almost 2 hours, and they said absolutely not. So we left with no food. This is the worst customer service that I have experienced in a very long time. Will definitely never be back there.

I ordered a vegetarian green curry. I specifically asked the waitress if it was going to be vegetarian cause it was in the lunch specials and it was written it'd come with either beef, pork or chicken. She told me that it wasn't a problem to make it veg.
Well, I found 2 pieces of meat inside my dish.
Surely, the food is already made far in advance and they just reheat. I'm guessing they just removed the pieces of meat of my curry to make it vegetarian. Which is NOT how it works. Shame for a restaurant that they're either lazy, liars or don't know what vegetarian actually mean.
Plus, the food has a strange taste imo (pretty oily).
The service was also pretty cold.
Last but not least, while elephant tourism is a disaster in Thailand, they've got a canvas with three guys riding elephants... Not so great looking when we know how elephants need to be broken to do so...

Can you order a dish that isnt just Perfect, absolutely not! This sweet restaurant is the Bomb and we are lucky to have an authentic place in Powell River. If I never have to eat anywhere else I will be happy. I shouildnt give this place such a great review as I think it will be so popular there will be standing room only. Looks like it is a family owned business and I thank them for sharing their great food with me.

Great place for good food, but prices have been creeping up lately. I still think it is worthwhile but I can't afford to go so much. Also bundle up if you go as this time of year they do not have the heat turned up much and it can get quite uncomfortable

Nice friendly service, delicious food and generous portions. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Green Curry. If we stayed longer in Powell River, we definitely would have returned for another meal.

Always a hit, the food is delicious ! We had lunch here on a Monday and were so glad we did. Right opposite the Ferry terminal and with a patio on a quiet street.
