Great meal overlooking the harbour with the sun setting.. highly recommend. Two of us had burgers, one roast beef sandwich and one halibut tacos. Great quality and fast service we all really enjoyed it!

I USED TO FAVOUR HALIBUT AND CHIPS - REAL PIECE OF FISH IN A BEER BATTER, DELICIOUS. HOWEVER MAY 30 I ORDERED SAME - BUT WHAT WAS TOUTED AS HALIBUT WAS ACTUALLY 2 PIECES OF FROZEN POLLACK SOLD EVERYWHERE, TO CHARGE THOSE AMOUNTS FOR STUFF...IN MY FRIDGE IS OUTRAGEOUS, I SHALL ATTEND SOON TO SEE IF ANY REAL HALIBUT IS BEING SERVED - IN BATTER, Signed PSDOPHMore
This place is way overpriced by a considerable amount I will not be going back and the service was very mediocre And the waitress was trying to justify their prices. Since the management is decided to overprice things I fear it will affect the staff's...tips. I won't be going back it's too bad because the location is prime lousy management and service stay away from this placeMore
The staff was great, food was good... but with poor menu changes, higher prices and ridiculous beer prices we likely won't be back. Saddening as we used to the pub a lot.
Over the years I have frequented this place .....and as we know with Coved all prices have risen but here at this pub they have sky rocketed!!....don't get me wrong I don't mind paying for a good meal but for it to cost an arm...and a leg is outrageous ...$29.95 for Fish and Chips that the fish looked like two pieces out of a box from the Captain Higher brand at Super Store!More
Ordered halibut tacos, there were 4 thin slices of halibut (thinner than my finger). If you don't have enough food to serve take it off the menu. $22 for the same price as halibut & chips, I expect the same amount of halibut, reasonable. I...do not recommend wasting your $$ on this entree,More
Great waterfront location, good selection of beer on tap. But...turkey-brie sandwich was overwhelmed by taste of onion jam and was served on 'sourdough' that tasted/looked like basic white bread from a bag. Yam fries were excessively salted and barely edible (had to wipe salt off...each fry). And the interior had some pretty bad DIY decor. Disappointing.More
Made a detour off the Island Highway to find an oyster burger and were rewarded with an excellent meal at the Cow Bay pub. The interior is "proper pub" (old school) rather than gussied up corporate pub. The view over the harbour is amazing. The...food is even better. Hats off to the chef. We had excellent home made clam chowder and the oyster burger was on point. Fries were 10/10 as well. Beer was good but too cold (being a Brit I like ale at room temperature) but no particular criticism of this pub as seemingly everyone murders ale in North America. Will definitely return.More
We have been going here for years and we’re almost always happy, except for one waitress, who gave us such terrible service that we didn’t tip her at all, one time. Our visit today started out fine. The service was excellent, the food was good,...although the prices are up considerably. We were waiting quite awhile for our bill, after giving up on the idea of another coffee, when we noticed our server talking with the waitress from years ago, who had been giving us dirty looks. We still tipped but had to go up to the bar to pay, after a long time when they weren’t busy at all. We won’t be back.More
My lunch companions ordered fish and chips and were happy with them. I tasted it and found it greasy, and the fries were the frozen, flour-coated kind, which aren't my favourite. I had the halibut salad. The halibut was over-cooked, the salad was very heavily...dressed in an unpleasantly vinegary, too salty dressing. My plate was garnished with two slices of cucumber, one of which was yellowish and slimy, the other was a little dried out. Ick. The coffee was good, the service friendly and loud, the room was noisy. Nice view.More
We visited this Pub for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised. They were short staffed but still managed to provide great service. We managed to get a table on the Patio which gave us a very enjoyable view of the Bay. Our food...was very tasty and the service was fast & very attentive. Considering how busy they were they deserve extra kudoo's for this! We will definitely come back.More
Met a friend for lunch here and the food was good and service was quick and decent, I would recommend it and not too busy! The deck has such a gorgeous view.
My husband loves seafood chowder so we went to this place for lunch. H e said it was some of the best chowder he's eaten - and that's saying a lot. Chicken strips were super good as well. We just wish we'd come back for...dinner too as it would have been much better than where we ended up.More
The food, halibut and chips and the chowder were great and the service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and covid friendly. Thank you kallie.
Great views. Service was average and food was sub-par....the halibut tacos were dry and only had "essence of halibut" (very little deep fried(?) halibut)....tasteless. NOT worth a second visit.
