Five of us dined, annoyingly crammed on to a table that was barely big enough for four, despite having booked well in advance. We all had 3 courses, and everything was very beautifully presented, but somehow the flavours and textures weren't there (although the lemon tart was excellently tangy). Wines (Rioja and Malbec) were possibly the most disappointing I've had... More

A big thank you to staff at The Botanist - two members of our group had very specific dietary requirements which were handled without any fuss at all by both servers and chefs. The food quality was excellent and drinks the same.

We don't often go here and our last visit was 9 months ago. Checked out the menu online. I note other reviews about prices but in my experience here......you usually get what you pay for and the quality here is usually far higher so costs more. We requested a table at the top end by the kitchen. The snug area... More

Very expensive place, overpriced food and drinks, ugly dirty looking floor, and ceiling windows in terrible condition too! And full of Poseurs!

The Botanist had fantastic food! I booked online and mentioned that it was my partners birthday. The lady came out with a free bottle of prosecco. Was a lovely touch. My boyfriend had seafood and I had steak and some rose wine. The red wine sauce was beautiful. 100% recommended.

Great cocktails with a little cosy garden. I have not ordered any food but it looked amazing and fresh and my friend enjoyed her salad.

Having had many a great meal in the botanist we booked a table for 8pm. We arrived to a very busy bar , which is normal. Eventually we were shown to a table in the snug which was in squashed in the corner amongst 1 big party. We asked if there was any chance of another table even if we... More

I ordered lamb roast which was beautifully presented but I was disappointed. There were a lot of roast potatoes under my beautifully cooked lamb and the veg seemed to me to have been reheated from frozen which was a shame. The gravy was thin and not tasty. I have eaten better for less. My husband had the duck and was... More
