So here's the thing - every time I have been to Thali in Easton in the past the food has been good! However my whole like of the place and its vibe took a dramatic turn on Saturday 5th Nov (so bad in fact its taken me this long to process the night). Started promising as wasn't too busy and... Dear Mark, This review is very disappointing to read but thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. The Mogul Chicken is our second best seller to the Rajastani Lamb dish and always gets full compliments on it's flavour. Our team of chefs from Tehri Garhwal take great pride in producing recipes that are true to Indian cooking... More

Celebrated friend's 50th at the Thali this week. Very interesting choice of food. Service good, food lovely and fresh. You have to be a lover of curry as it's all quite spicy but it made a nice change. Would recommend.

What a Great little place this is! The decor is quite simple but there is a real buzz about the place and it's friendly and welcoming. It is obviously popular, as numerous times people were turned away at the door. So if you want to pay a visit book i'd recommend booking in advance. Having tried Thali before while in... More

Thank you for the great review, I have shown this to my team straight away! They were thrilled to see this, it makes us all proud of what we do. Our Lamb Thali is one of the best sellers, please come back to try the seasonal Pig cheek Thali as an alternative. We also have a fantastic new cocktail list... More

Went with colleagues for an informal lunch, I found this a bit pricey for what it is. I had a Keralan dish which was nice but sadly not as the authentic ones in Kerala(still tasty) . My colleague had a dosa and another colleague had a buttermilk chicken which I believe should have been prices a bit less than what... More

I enjoy visiting Thali and it has a nice relaxed feel. The food is good but I had a slow cooked lamb curry from the lunch menu the first time I went and didn't feel it was worth £8.50, as nice as it was. There are cheaper options that look like much better value, such as the Dosa. I do... More

Great ambience - real mix of clientele including families, which is always encouraging. Laid back but quietly attentive staff and the food was amazing - I had the lamb and it was beautiful! Bottles of water on the table, no pressure to buy bottled water or more expensive drinks - much appreciated. However, the mango and passionfruit cooler was lush!... More

What a wonderful find, tucked away in Easton, wonderful ambience and mouth watering food - perfect Dosa, paneer that melts in your mouth, fantastic omelette (ohm-lette?!), and friendly smiles from (almost) everyone working there.

Been occasionally coming here for about a year. Food is well prepared, my friend goes mad for their cake, I can't resist the Chai (my only small criticism is the price of the Chai, might just be cos I want MORE of it!!! Yuuum'! :) ) Anna-Sophia was a lovely waitress, very on it and charming service :)

At last, an Indian restaurant that serves authentic, street-food style grub! If you're hacked off with the usual rice with red-slop, green-slop, yellow-slop curries, this is the place for you! Instead of a bible-thick menu packed with multiple variations of the same muddy fayre, their small but comprehensive menu will cater for just about everyone. Cocktails are interesting & the... More

we like the atmosphere of an Indian street food cafe - often call in for lunches - the lassi's are good - could have more variety of food.

Description
Famous for Thalis but you'll find classic Indian snacks, coffee and cakes on the menu too. Quirky decor, great atmosphere, free Wifi, kids welcome. Award-winning Tiffin Takeaway scheme. Great for meetings and business lunches; contact us about catering for your party or celebration.Located in the centre of Easton, this is one of four Thali Cafes in Bristol. We avoid mainstream locations in favour of areas with a strong sense of community where we can foster relationships with local people and businesses.
