I thought the service really made this experience for us, I can not rate that highly enough, attentive, polite and knowledgeable staff. The food was great and the wine recommendations superb, I have already recommended this place to my friends.

We had a special occasion to celebrate on Saturday's evening. My boyfriend made a research and found this outstanding restaurant. The reviews didn't lie :-). The restaurant is presented in contemporary and understated style, with lovely paintings on the walls, which are for sale. I have to say that the service is exceptional in this place. All staff is so... More

We went for my partners birthday, and tried the tasting menu and wine flight while I stuck with beers and sake. The tasting menu was excellent , lots of flavours and colours and visually a delight. It may not be the cheap option but it's my type of meal, the variation of presentation and taste was top notch. I have... More

Booked this well ahead, but surprised that it wasn't full, which considering the quality of both food and service was a surprise. The food was everything you would expect from a 1* restaurant, with amuse bouche , selection of excellent breads, stunning starters and mains, but also, leave room for them, house speciality meringue spheres. Wines reasonably priced and service... More

This is the best meal we've had in a very long time. The service was outstanding. Each dish was so carefully presented like a tableau. The portions were just right so we didn't feel too full for the next course or the next amuse bouche. Booking essential.

My husband and I took our youngest daughter (under 1) here for lunch. It was fantastic. The restaurant itself is comfortable and modern with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are attentive, friendly, and informative without being intrusive. The food was delicious. We would normally have the tasting menu but as we had younger company we thought we wouldn't risk being... More

We came for lunch on a Sunday with our toddler. The service from the outset was impeccable, knowledgable friendly staff. Its a fine dining restaurant not a pub so we were not sure about Sunday lunch but we loved it. The menu is seasonal and changes daily but we were lucky to have a shellfish dumpling and sweetbreads on the... More

This really is an excellent restaurant and the tasting menu was wonderful. Flavours great (beef to die for!). And go for the wine accompaniment which is very good and compliments the food very well with some great choices. After being slightly underwhelmed at Casamia, I was greatly impressed and will return to Wilks. It's more understated and less theatrical than... More

I visited the Wilks last Saturday with a couple of my friends. I eat out a lot and have visited many restaurants in Bristol. I am a person who is not easily impressed, but I must say that this establishment has ticked every box in my book. Our experience begun with the warm welcome of our hostess and co-owner Christine....
