We used to live next door to this restaurant and have seen it change identity many time, so we thought we would try it out in this incarnation. We have now eaten there three times in the last month and it has now become one of our favourite restaurants. The food is excellent from the salmon to the Blackstone Eggs... More

The restaurant is now called 'Apsley' and has undergone a recent renovation. The outside area, as was, is covered but has a clever system of blinds which can be uncovered so that you can affectively sit in the sun - just ask the waitress. This is the second of their restaurants that I have visited, the other being the 'Souk... More

the menu looks great but each time we went some of the items we ordered were not available (different items each time) the scrambled eggs weren't at all nice they were very kind and accommodating when i went with a 3-year-old the waiters were a bit casual - not sure why

Wish I could comment about the food but never got that far, wish I could say the service was awful but didn't actually receive any!!! Apart from a menu tossed onto our table. All in all a classic example of fawlty towers ineptitude served with a large helping of attitude!!

Walking down Whiteladies Road this Saturday afternoon, we decided to stop off for a light lunch before walking further into town. Café 59, just off Whiteladies Road, won the hunger vs distance argument. A very polite Hungarian chap offered us a table and took a drinks order. Returning a minute or two later, he realised we hadn't picked up the... More

Whether your looking for full English, eggs Benedict or a vegetarian, this is the place for all. We have been back three weeks in a row. Great portions, good value. I agree try the black stone eggs. The staff are cheerful, friendly people and add to a lovely setting. Visit this place, I'm positive you will not be disappointed.

Came here on a Sunday, the service was quite slow, we waited a while for the food. Sausage sarnie wasn't on the menu so we asked if we could have tht they said they had to ask.. Which was weird because sausage was on the menu for the full breakfast, and toast so we couldn't see the problem. When the... More

I went here recently for brunch following a recommendation from a friend who lived nearby and it really did not disappoint! Friendly service, sensible prices and a lovely, really tasty meal. Intend to drop in again the next time I'm in the area :)

really good no nonsense cafe with great staff and good value food. Children are made welcome and it is a good place for a family meal. There is a good range of coffees and teas as well as a fantastic all day breakfast menu, small plates of food and larger mains. We have always felt welcome and nothing seems too... More

I have regular business meetings here - cool location in a good spot of Bristol....ah hem...."Clifton"!! Very friendly and welcoming. Great coffee and grub to match - have no reason to look anywhere else as I am a creature of habit and this suits me to the ground. Well done
