I had never stepped foot in the Watershed until two weeks ago when I booked tickets to see a film rather than go to one of the larger multiplexes in town. Firstly, what a space! A large bar and seating area, 3 very smart screens and a great menu. So i decided next time I walked by that I would... More

Very pleasantly surprised by this cafe - expecting to have a quick bite to eat and instead had a memorable meal; my father had a melt in the mouth lamb shoulder with chimichurri sauce and grilled courgettes, and I had what was laughably called a 'light bite' of the Tart of the Day with chunky chips - the tart turned... After they changed the menu on my suggestion, we went here for lunch and ordered large-size cheesy chips and salad. This was very delicious but the portions could have been more generous - after all we did order "large" sizes. We were relieved not to have ordered the "small" option. Anyway, the place has a lovely ambience plus very charming... More

If you are looking for a nice lunch in the centre of Bristol then don't go here. The menu is mixed but not exciting in the slightest. The food is below average with the food greasy and covered in salt. One tip, go somewhere else!

First time visitor a few weeks ago. A great child-friendly cafe with a play area and great books (Roald Dahl). Great selection of local drinks on tap, and possibly one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Huge fish and tripple cooked chips. Excellent value too. Would absolutely go again if hungry and in the area

We popped in yesterday with our three children to shelter from the rain. We were greeted by Cath who running a craft activity for children. We ordered some drinks, crisps and cake then our girls disappeared off to make a porthole window with Cath. I was shocked to purchase five drinks, two cakes and a packet of hand-cooked crisps and... Met an old friend here for food whilst visiting the city. It's a lovely light, airy space with views of the harbour. The range of food on offer was good and there were options for my vegan coeliac friend! I had orzo salad with tomatoes, feta and artichoke and he had a quinoa salad. Both portions looked appealing and were... More

The Watershed can get very busy, particularly pre-cinema, but if you manage to get a table, service (order at the bar) is quick and efficient. A good vegetarian selection, large portions at a reasonable price make it value for money. The bar has an interesting and ever-changing selection of beers an lagers, plus wines etc. The only irritations were the... More

The café bar is upstairs in the water shed and offers views over the adjoining quay. The layout is spacious and allows for eating or just coffee. It has Wi-Fi. The menu is varied, but not exciting. It is reasonably priced and the staff are attentive.

We used to enjoy chips covered in melted cheese at the Watershed Cafe Bar but, since redecorating, etc, they don't do these any more. We enquired whether they still do chips - yes, they said. And do you do cheese? Yes, they said! But not chips and cheese together! It was raining hard outside (we could see raindrops bouncing on... More
