It’s a famous place for good reason but can be overrun with people. Our experience on such an occasion was disappointing as our food took an absolute age to arrive. Wouldn’t go back unless a quiet midweek.

When my dad suggested visiting The Eagle for our dinner I was hesitant. The food options turned out to be really good - and that's coming from a vegetarian. I had the mac & cheese and my brother had the veggie burger. Both of us...More

Always busy and everyone seems to promote this pub for its connections with the discovery of DNA and the RAF bar, interesting stories. This is a good honest English pub and I was only allowed one beer by the missus, won't bring here next time....More

I've given The Eagle a two-star rating purely for its historical riches, as both the place where Crick and Watson announced their discovery of DNA and the boozer where off-duty aircrew hung out in WW2. These two facts, and the pub's central location, have made...More

It was certainly interesting and convenient. There is something to be said about eating/drinking in a pub that is so old and has the link with Cricks and Watson. Food and service were OK

As the DNA was detected in this pub as they say - it is a must. But there are better pubs in the environment

Very disappointing visit. Looking forward to a nice roast dinner but sadly not to be. A very busy pub but felt they were too busy to care. All four dinners turned up looking very unappetising and were not very warm. Roast dinners were awful. The...More

A warm welcome upon arrival. Amazing history attached to this pub. A great choice of beers and the food was very good too. A must visit on any trip to Cambridge. Will certainly return, recommended.
