We met family for sunday lunch and despite visiting last year and having a super sunday lunch this time we were very disappointed. The roast pork was ok but nothing special however the lamb could not be cut. Not even when we asked for steak knives could we cut the meat. It was not rare it was almost raw and... More

Me and three friends visited the Blue Lion of Sunday Lunch. We all opted for Roast Beef as on the menu it seemed to be the only roast option that came with a Yorkshire pudding. Food arrived with hardly any vegetables. We were given one piece of cauliflower cheese and 3 bits of broccoli in a separate dish to share... More

Amazing food in colossal volumes! Everything is good and massive. If you're playing a game of food envy with your guests, it's hard to pick a winner. The best approach is for everyone to order something different eat half (by which time you'll need a rest) then swap over with your partner and continue! The quality of everything here is... More

We had gone for a drive and stumbled across this charming beautiful country pub about 10 miles outside Cambridge and it was a fantastic find. The building is just beautiful and so well kept we were blown away by menu choice as I think you always think of quaint village pubs as pub grub but this was more than we... More

A delightful pub with comfortable bar area and attractive garden. We chose a starter each for lunch - pea pannacotta with ham terrine and egg yolk was sublime. Prompt and friendly service and good value. Definitely a cut above your average pub fare.

We were a group of 16 adults and 8 babies and were well accommodated in the conservatory. We had preordered our food and the service was prompt and courteous. The food was good, but a little on the pricey side.

Been over two years since we have visited here but still go on about how delicious the food was. If in Cambridge again we will certainly return. High Quality presentation and quality ingredients - the specials menu if I remember rightly was plentiful and both the dinner and desert were excellent.

We went for Mother's Day - the pub was busy but the service was brilliant. Very friendly and the waiter knew the menu very well (ie could easily identify which Items had nuts without having to check with the chef, although he did do that too). There was a set menu for adults and kids. The portions were large. The... More

Gastropubs are not usually our scene. The better half, though, is always looking for simple country pubs for lunch, and we tried this one. She and our companion had very good fish pies, and I had pork belly with black pudding mash. The pork was excellently cooked, with very little fat left but not dry, and with very good crackling...
