Group of friends had the tasting menu, amazing value and we all came out of there with our taste buds wondering what just happened? Simply fantastic with great service and amazing breads. Awesome

Has held a Michelin star many years and deservedly so. We all had the tasting menu with the wine flight. The service was attentive and old school. All the courses were well thought out and beautifully presented. Very enjoyable evening

Me and my female friend visited this restaurant on the 20th April. We were massively disappointed with the taster menu we tried. The asparagus course was outstanding. Most of the dishes had an underlying cheesy flavour to them, with an absence of variety of texture also. This even applied to the dessert, which on paper sounded delicious. The white chocolate... Nice experience. Excellent service. Loved the bread choices. Expect it to be pricey as per michelin starred restaurants

We stayed at the hotel for my husbands 40th birthday because I had booked the Simon Radley. We both choose the tasting menu and the food was lovely but wasn't really to the level I expected, especially for the price. The staff seemed more overly concerned about the selection of bread on offer than anything else, which surprised me. I... More

We were very lucky to be able to dine here at the last minute on a Wednesday night since we had not booked ahead. We stopped in for a pre-dinner drink and were very fortunate to be able to be seated just before it was time for last orders. We chose the a la carte dinner rather than the tasting... More

We had an exceptional meal here on Friday 31st March. We had the three course menu , but mine was actually 8 courses , starting with canapés in the Arkle bar and lounge which were delicious , then we went into the restaurant which was busy, the atmosphere was lovely . Next was the bread trolley there are 9 yes... More

We resisted the temptations of the tasting menu and chose al a carte. The canapes were a highlight and the starters were excellent. The main courses were a smidgen on the small side and were not fully described on the menus which led to a surprise or two when they arrived. Desserts, coffees etc were very good and the service... On s 3 day break to Chester we decided to visit Simon Radley as we had read great reviews. We started the evening with a delicious cocktail in the lounge before being seated in the restaurant. The restaurant was nicely set out and tables were well spaced to allow private discussion. The service was impeccable, though a touch fussy for... More

Written a few reviews, not all good. Attended restaurant tonight on the occasion of our 30th anniversary. From start to finish the whole experience was above and beyond. My biggest fear when dining at Michelin starred restaurants is that the staff are over bearing and pretentious. This never happened tonight the staff were relaxed and professional in every manner. The food... More

Description
Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.
