Well worth a visit should you find yourself in Chester with time on your hands to spend leisurely sipping your way through a beer or two. There just has to be something here to appeal to everyone. From bottled beers to cask beers, from guest beers to speciality beers, from low abv to high abv beers, they have a large... More

Just excellent! Interesting cask, six hand pulls, interesting craft beers and possibly the best fridge in Chester for bottled beers, plus very knowledgable staff.

I always thought a bar was a social place, but the bar manager here obviously has other ideas!!! He was rude aggressive in manner and made our visit to a decent bar an unwelcoming experience. We were probably talking a little too loud but that was probably extenuated because of the fact the bar was almost empty. But the surly... More

Just popped in for a birthday drink with my two sons (didn't eat). Great selection of real ales, ciders and lagers. Friendly and efficient service in a proper pub atmosphere. The real ales were excellent.

They say you can sell the best food , drinks in the area but how you feel is what counts. We have visited here on many occasions on quiet nights and busy Saturdays and always enjoyed the large choice of ale , ploughmans etc. However , the drinks are expensive compared to other bars in area and then when the... Nice place to pop into on our mini bar crawl. Comfy couches to relax on & good beers on offer. Food is available although we didn't eat here. Few bars along this road to try without having to walk too far.

A fantastic beer bar! Huge constantly changing selection of beers! Wide range of real ales and foreign beers. There is a reason that they keep winning camra pub of the year!

Visited the pub whilst out on leaving party with some work colleagues. All I can say is what a gem of a pub. The selection of beers are great and the knowledge of the bar man helped you decide which ale matched you preferred taste. Will definitely return next time were in Chester
